Native to the Piedmont area of North Carolina, music has always encompassed him. Aaron began singing at a very early age when his mother became a youth choir director. At age 7, his father took him to his very first concert, and Aaron fell in love with the entire experience of live music. Add in a love of writing gained from his grandmother, and it was inevitable that creating and performing music would be a part of Aaron's destiny. Behind his rasp-driven voice, Aaron has a power that demands the room when he's performing. "I just want people to listen, take it all in, and know that it's okay," says Aaron. "It's okay not to know where you're going, what you're doing, or how you're doing it. As long as you're enjoying the ride, no one else can define your happy." Whether playing to a sparse few or a full crowd, Aaron has the ability to make everybody feel like one of the gang. ahaComa is a song project out of Charlotte, NC combining guitar-rock, ukulele, and drum machine for a unique and accessible blend of American Daydream Music.

Armen Boyajian is a jazz violinist and pianist who has been in the Charlotte, NC area since 2008. His jazz quartet Air Apparent was formed in Washington, DC and included Frank Kimbrough, Ed Howard, and Steve Williams. They played Blues Alley, Carter-Barron Amphitheatre and other DC and Baltimore venues. Geoff Himes of the Washington compared "a performance by Air Apparent as the next best thing to the Hot Club of France" when reviewing a concert at Carter-Barron.

Charlotte was also the site of a reunion of Armen and guitarist Joshua Marks, who initially met in Augusta, GA. They had a three year residency at Cafe Monte, and also played at Whole Foods, Basilico's, Charlotte Jazz and other venues. Repertoire ranges from Hot Club of France to Wayne Shorter to originals by Armen. Josh has his BA in Music from Berklee and is a sensitive, informed player who also arranged much of their material.

Armen has written a number of original jazz compositions: Waltz for Bill Evans (originally named Sweet & Sour) was named Best Jazz composition by the Washington Area Music Association.

Funk

AKITA is a 5-piece funk band out of Charlotte NC started by drummer Patrick Buckley and bassist Zak Ferrell. Once you add in saxophonist Charlie Lamprecht, Dan Hamalainen on trombone & rhythm guitar and Sam Farnham on lead guitar their sound becomes an unstoppable force of funk that you can't help but move to.

Taking cues from legendary funk bands such as James Brown, The Meters, Lettuce, Maceo Parker and others they infuse a new twist on funk incorporating reggae and elements of funk-rock into their songs. They have curated their own branded party "Culture Shift" with the intention of growing their name in the local Charlotte scene and the Southeast as a whole.

Ali Steele, singer / songwriter business owner of ethnicbyali and 1/3 of Issa vibe adventures was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He was subject to bullying for the color of his skin at a very young age. This caused him to write. He became a songwriter at the fairly young age of 14. At that age, he knew he had a gift. He eventually produced a published record.

While still working on music in his spare time, he also yearned for more. He grew up in an adverse environment where self-love and pride were not taught. He wasn't exposed to nature and never missed it.

As he got older, he became exposed to different artists and public figures such as Erykah Badu and Dr. Llaila Afrika that showed himself love and acceptance. He became engulfed in learning African roots, traditions as well as strong pride for the color of his skin. This newfound love of himself motivated him to start a business called Ethnic by Ali. He chose that title as a celebration of ethnicity and Ali is his middle name. He also felt as if the name, Ali, means a lot to his family and is a shared middle name amongst some of the males in the family. It means the highest one.

As Ali continued to morph into a man, he started yearning to learn more about nature and wanted to challenge himself while getting in shape. He went on his first hike in 2015 and at that moment, he was hooked. He fell in love with nature. So much so that he wrote a song about it very dear to his heart. The song is titled, "No Care". Amigo is a rock and roll band. This might sound quaint or even a little passé but it's an entirely apt and appropriate description. Amigo is a guitar, a bass, a drum set and buckets full of songs and its members share a proud and unrepentant belief in rock & roll's divine promise and power to shake audience and band alike to their core.

The Charlotte-based quartet, comprised of guitarist Slade Baird, bassist Thomas Alverson, drummer Adam Phillips, and keyboardist Molly Poe has been putting rubber to road in senses both theoretical and literal since their inception in 2012, developing their keen sense of harmony and interplay, honing their songwriting chops and developing an absolutely white-hot live show which has become the main vehicle for their brand of rock and roll evangelism.

The intervening years have found the band churning out a handful of releases, most notably their 2014 debut long player Might Could, playing shows numbering in the several hundreds and driving their trusty van tens of thousands of miles as they regularly traipse around the southern United States and beyond, taking their unpretentious, straight-from-the-heart shaggy dog story to the people.

Cut in the summer of 2016 with famed producer/engineer Mitch Easter at his Fidelitorium in the decidedly anti-music biz hamlet of Kernersville, North Carolina, And Friends is an album that is at once raucous yet intimate, traditional but ambitious, and finds the band culling influences from 50's doo-wop to Hank Williams, John Prine to The Replacements, Tom Petty to Dinosaur Jr.

Building his songs from the foundation up, Baird adroitly lures the listener in, getting them moving with songs that would be at home in any honky tonk, dive bar or juke joint. But astride the plinking, pounding piano, hard-driving rhythm and swamp-scorched guitar solos sit the album's subjects, whose true depth is revealed and unraveled upon closer inspection via Baird's tightly packed lyrical prowess.

"Formed in North Carolina in 2013 by multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Stephen Warwick, Ancient Cities melds well-crafted lyrics with fuzzed-out guitars, hints of psychedelia, and a pop sensibility.

Warwick gained noteriety in 2010 with his lof-fi folk endeavor titled Talking Machine, receiving local acclaim as best song-writer and landing on Shuffle Magazine's top 10 list of best albums that year.

Seeking a new musicial outlet, Warwick headed back to the studio and enlisted friends to join him in the for . Towards the end of the recordings, Justin Fedor (The New Familiars) joined Warwick and the two set out as a duo for their first tour under the name Ancient Cities, after a dream Warwick had as a child. July 2014 marked the release of Ancient Cities' self-titled debut album, and they expanded their live sound with the addition of Justin Faircloth (The Houston Brothers) on organ and synth.

They've been touring up and down the east coast for a few years playing club dates as well as festivals such as CMJ Music Marathon, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and the prestegious Newport Folk Festival's 56th anniversary. They were one of three bands chosen by Converse to play Newport, as well as record at Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Boston where they started work on their follow-up album Supermoon Blackout. Ancient Cities has been featured in the Vanity Fair and the Village Voice, as well as a series of live videos with famed music sites PASTE Magazine and Live & Breathing. You can catch them this summer/fall out on tour in support of their second album."

Andy Ball is a solo musician - singer and acoustic guitar player.

He is local to Charlotte and has been one of the lead singers for the Charlotte based Bad Daddies band for close to 20 years. In the downtime created by the pandemic, he has been playing and singing solo acoustic gigs around town.

He has all of his own equipment and is a quick set up / break down and plays a variety of music and is ready to entertain you!

"Before Anthony Hamilton laid down the gospel as an R&B singer, the Charlotte, North Carolina native found his calling as a member of the church choir. "It's like that feeling you get hearing somebody else lead that made me start to really pay attention to music, not just sonically but what it did to people," says Hamilton, who began singing at six or seven years old. An introvert raised with his brother and sister by a single mother (his father left when he was nine years old), Hamilton found comfort in a foam-covered speaker while dreaming of stardom. "I was a child who had a very wide imagination and I would become the song. I used to listen to "Ben" by Michael Jackson a lot and I would dream like one day I'm gonna become a famous singer. I said that over and over again for years and I always believed it."

Over two decades worth of label changes later (past deals included Uptown, MCA, Atlantic Records, Soulife Records, Andre Harrell's Harrell Entertainment and Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings), Hamilton has found his happy place on RCA Records. Following up 2011's Grammy-nominated effort Back To Love and his 2014 Christmas offering Home For The Holidays, the R&B cantor maintains his Southern sensibility and poignant songwriting on his fifth studio effort What I'm Feelin.' Its lead single "Amen" -- a melodic love note produced by Salaam Remi and James Poyser, praises a special lady's efforts. "'Amen' is just celebrating the beauty that a woman makes you feel, not just physical attributes, but the fact that she works, she goes to church, prays for you, cooks, cleans, just all those things that a woman brings to the table," Hamilton explains.

Hamilton is known for flipping heartbreak into a blessing as heard on his biggest ballad "Charlene." After a significant relationship had ended, he left his one-bedroom brownstone apartment in Harlem on 146th Street and Convent Avenue and took the train to 33rd Street to meet with producer Batson at a Manhattan recording studio. "My record deal [at the time], I was pretty much trying to get off. I remember I didn't have a lot of money. At that time, I was heartbroken," he reflects. "I just poured my heart out and ["Charlene"] was one of the songs that came out of it." He notes that his soulful formula stays consistent with What I'm Feelin', even on a personal level. "I'm fully capable of taking from a broken place and truly turning it into something amazing," says Hamilton confidently. "I'm truly capable of loving in spite of my situation. I think I still have a fear of letting go to a degree and I think there's preparations I need to do to get there. I'm not done yet."

Hamilton's decorated catalog includes his 2003 debut, Comin' From Where I'm From (which carried the hit title track), 2005's Ain't Nobody Worryin' among other efforts. He has earned several Grammy nominations, like "Po' Folks," the 2002 Nappy Roots collaboration that earned a nod for best rap/sung collaboration, and won his first trophy in 2009 for best traditional R&B vocal performance for his duet with Al Green on "You've Got The Love I Need." He has also lent his vocals to a variety of talent includingNas, Rick Ross, Carlos Santana, Jill Scott, Tupac, and Al Green to name a few. His first album in over five years, What I'm Feelin', will be released via RCA Records on March 25th."

Ape Piss is an electronic hip hop trio out of Charlotte, NC. The group consists of vocalist Fàvel, producer Uncle Crime, and producer/visual artist Hill Wall, who operates out of California for most of the year. The group combine harsh experimental beats with grimey lofi vocals about youth and the feeling of belonging, as seen by their song Yuillotine (if you listen, please use bandcamp or SoundCloud as Spotify has ruined our mixes). Although they only have 1 EP out at the moment, they are working hard on their debut record which should be out by the end of the year, and promises to deliver even more on the pounding electronic sound they established on their first release.

Barcerado (Pronounced "Bar-sir-räd-o") is a Charlotte-based Funk band that has been playing across the city since 2015.

While Barcerado's sound has been described in many ways, it is most notably comparable to several classic funk ensembles such as Tower of Power, Average White Band, The Meters, and others. Barcerado's influences also expand to several modern funk/soul/jazz fusion/rock ensembles such as Vulfpeck, Mingo Fishtrap, Trombone Shorty, Lettuce and Snarky Puppy.

Recently emerging onto the Funk scene, the group has been packing out local venues with high energy sets that keep the crowd partying into the late night hours.

Barcerado is recently released their debut Funk album, entitled "The Funky Giraffe" and is excited to have new music out in the musicverse!

Hello, I am a local alternative hiphop/soul artist! I use music and words as a sort of balm to help soothe the soul and provide a sense of progress in spite of the odds. Pre covid I was performing at local venues such as the Noda Brewery, the Gaston Pourhouse, and other festivals. I haven't had a paid gig since March of this year and am dying to get back in touch with the people.

Hip-Hop

Big Greg debuted in 2010 with his "What's It Gonna Be Like" mixtape while attending college. He was able to maintain a significant following during his tenure in college. Greg would perform around campus during student activity events and anywhere in the city that permitted him. During college, Greg began to draw many comparisons to Drake because he could easily create catchy lyrics in addition to singing on tracks. His first major single, "Like A Stripper", received regional acclaim around the south, which lead to many tours. Greg first award came in 2015 as he won the Hip Hop artist of the year at the Charlotte Music Awards International (CMAI). Later that year, riding off his new single and performance from the CMAI, Big Greg sealed a Hollywood Music in Media (HMMA) nomination, for his new hit single "Like A Stripper". In 2016, Greg nabbed the Matador Green Energy Drink theme song contest, which plays his theme song and all of their functions and fully sponsors his performance events anytime he performs around the country. That same year (2016), his follow up single "You Can Have It All" won the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) for song of the year in Hollywood, California. His 3rd single Oh No did really well in the south and managed to get FM play which is why he has big expectations for his 4th single Hands Free featuring label mate & social media icon LaTruth was recently released on March 26, 2021. His upcoming EP titled "#G4" which is set to release in July 2021.

The Bill Miller Band, 2012, 2015 and 2016 Quarter finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN and 2013 Charlotte Music Awards Blues Band of the Year is sure to get you moving to their high-powered, contemporary interpretation of vintage blues. Father and Son share vocals with Bill III on guitar and Bill jr. on harmonica. Mike Peters handles the keys. Randall Cowles holds down the bottom while Tim Martin provides the beat. They've been exciting southeastern U. S. audiences with their high energy shows since 2006. The recipe for their Blues is to mix Chicago with a bit of Texas and some Southern Rock, and add a whole lot of their own passion and drive.

It all started when bassist Joe Williams got a stand-up bass fiddle and set out in pursuit of the genuine C&W sound. It didn't take him long to recruit Catawba City songster Bill Noonan on vocals and acoustic guitar, and it just so happened that their long-time musical compadre Joe Turick had been busy woodshedding on steel guitar. Tim Belk's solid tasteful approach on drums was a perfect fit and rounded out the lineup. The Hey Joes engage in reverent readings from the Books of Hank, Carl Smith, Ray Price and other giants of the era, and from modern traditionalists like Wayne Hancock. They end the night on an electric note, where honky-tonk meets rock and roll, mixing up classic dancing and drinking songs with more eclectic covers and selections from Noonan's catalog of top-notch originals.

Gospel/ R&B/Classical/ Soul

"Born to a family of vocalists and musicians In Wildwood, FL, Blanche J had very little choice for a hobby. At an early age she learned to play several brass instruments, but it was her big voice that most impressed those that came in contact with her. Blanche started to sing with her family choir at the tender age of 3, and as she got older, she was thrust to the forefront as a lead singer of the family choir, as well as her church choir.

This trend continued as Blanche J went on to Florida A&M University as a member of the Concert Choir, and later the Gospel Choir. She was also frequently seen leading Praise and Worship at several churches in and around Tallahassee, FL. Shortly after graduating, Blanche relocated to Charlotte, NC, where she set out to learn the music scene in her new home. Here she met and formed a bond with local jazz artist, Paul Whitley. Paul saw something familiar in Blanche J that led him to take her under his wing and push her to share her voice with the world in the form of ""real music"". Along her journey to create a name for herself, Blanche J has had the honor and privilege of singing alongside or accompanying such great names as Kim Burrell, Kelly Price, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Blanche McAllister-Dykes.

Blanche J's background in soul, R&B, gospel and classical music shines through in everything she sings. She manages to take the most essential aspects of each genre of music and blends it every so masterfully, making it artistically pleasing to the ear. Blanche J is currently working on her newest album which will be produced by the mastermind, Micki Miller. Blanche J provides private vocal lessons in person and via Skype. She is also the lead singer of Charlotte, NC band, The Queen's Guard."

BRAVE Entertainment began with two gifted ladies; Raven Stevens and Britney Hughes. Being heavily involved in the music scene, in the Charlotte area as singers and background vocalist, for over 20 years, Raven and Britney created the company to capitalize on their experience as musicians. BRAVE Entertainment began with hosting a live music event, bringing together a culmination of gifted artists and musicians, giving them the ideal platform to express their artistic and creative abilities.

Brave Entertainment's purpose is to provide, promote and carry out every entity that falls under the umbrella of music, fine arts and entertainment. Brice Parker is a singer-songwriter based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has been writing songs and playing guitar for over a decade. Considering himself a "one-man band," Brice utilizes a loop pedal to perform unique covers and energetic originals at your favorite, hip southern digs, bars and restaurants around the Charlotte area and beyond. Brice's bright personality and humble spirit liven up any space,for performances that are enjoyed by just about anyone. "Small Dreams," Brice's first album release distributed in 2018, building a reputation in the area as a rising artist. Brice has since released "one" - an album encompassing influences of pop, alternative rock and even spoken word to bridge gaps amongst genres and establish his individual artistry.

"Bullfrog Moon is a five piece Charlotte area jam band. We've been spreading good vibes around CLT since 2015. Instrumentation includes, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, keyboards and harmonica. Carolina GATOR GUMBO, based in Charlotte NC, is a well seasoned Cajun & Creole band bringing festive music from southwest Louisiana to the Carolinas since the early 90's! This friendly mix of high spirited musicians have sought and studied Cajun/Creole music, dance & culture throughout the southeast. "Leona Had A Party", the band's most recent recording has been met with great reviews.

"Carolina Pro Musica was established in 1977 to promote the performance of music written before 1800,

especially from the Baroque, Renaissance and Medieval periods of music history. In the 1970s there

was a great renewal of interest in the performance practices of these periods and in the use of

copies of historical instruments to help bring the old music to life. The ensemble has had a concert

series since that time utilizing local churches and historic St. Mary's Chapel in Charlotte. They have

performed in the Southeast, in Boston during the Early Music Festival, and in Europe, taking trips to

Poland and the UK. In London they performed in Handel's home, which is now a museum. Belmont Abbey

College has honored them as Abbey Artists since 2001.

The group includes Karen Hite Jacob - artistic director and harpsichordist, Holly Wright Maurer - viola da gamba,

Rebecca Miller Saunders - soprano vocals, and Edward Ferrell - recorder and baroque flute. These four

have been performing together as Carolina Pro Musica since 1994."

Carolina Vibes music runs on a kaleidoscopic spectrum of sound and color, a fusion of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, Reggae, Soul, Jazz, and other influences. The band spreads its message of peace, love, and happiness through improvisational live performances structured around tightly woven tunes spanning a host of musical genres. CV formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2013, led by vocalist Marsha and her guitarist husband, Chris. Along with Paul playing the bass and Beattie playing the drums and percussion, the band has developed a truly original style, driven in every instance by a singular purpose: the love of playing music.

Caroline Dare is a 17 year old NC/Nashville,TN based ASCAP songwriter and CMA member. Caroline performs both acoustically and with her full band primarily in NC, SC, and Nashville and has played notable venues such as Downtown Disney (Orlando, Fl), The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville, TN), Eddie's Attic (Atlanta, GA), MerleFest (Wilkesboro, NC), The Evening Muse & The Coca Cola 600 Speed Street Festival (Charlotte, NC), Johnny & June's (Winston-Salem, NC), the NC Seafood Festival (Morehead City, NC), and the NC Azalea Festival (Wilmington, NC).

Dare showcases her soothing vocals and songwriting skills on her second EP ""Take It or Leave It"" which includes 1 co-written and 5 self-penned tracks. She tapped Nashville recording artist Greg Bates and Ben Jackson to produce the project.

Caroline is involved with many charitable events including Tunes for Tots, March of Dimes, and her local Children's Hospital and Humane Society.

Americana

Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, CKB at its core are three friends that have music running through their veins. They are adventurers, coffee drinkers, and lovers of traditional country music. Their sound has been described as "Traditional Country with an Americana flair". In the summer of 2016 they were invited to be a part of the Sunday night writers nights at the Bluebird café and have since been making quarterly appearances. Most recently, they were awarded the 2017 Don Gibson Singer Songwriter Symposium award with their song "The Way It Goes". They are currently in the studio working on a new project that is expected to be available later this year. A southern girl with a spirit as fiery as her red hair, Caroline has been pursuing her dream of being a Country music artist from a very early age. She made a name for herself as a Country Gospel singer starting when she was sixteen. She recorded three albums and topped the Country Gospel charts, with four songs ranked in the top ten.

Caroline's dream had always been in Country music and after spending a short time reflecting and exploring the world of songwriting, it was clear that it was where she needed to be.

She wants to inspire. The music moves her, and she's a songwriter who understands that the hard parts of life - the parts that stick with you - can't always be expressed with simple words. Sometimes, you have to put those words into a song.

Now, Caroline has paired with fellow songwriter and touring musicians Scott Spruill and John Christenbury forming the "Caroline Keller Band." Together they are bringing their Country/Americana music to the people, writing songs that are relatable and relevant. Most recently, the trio was invited to perform at the Sunday Writer's Night at the prestigious Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN.

Jazz

Named one of North Carolina's Top Charlotte Vocalists in 2012 by the Carolina Entertainment Network, singer/songwriter and actor Carrie Marshall has an amazing ability to wrap her heart and voice around a lyric, infusing each song she sings with a power and poignancy. Influenced by jazz, blues, gospel and pop, she has sung at a variety of venues along the east coast, from intimate wine bars to convention centers and sports arenas. She honed her songwriting skills while living in Nashville, where she recorded her album Redemption and worked as a session singer. But it was in North Carolina, where she moved in 2008, that she found her musical niche.

After landing in North Carolina in 2008, Carrie joined forces with several top musicians, performing a blend of her jazz, blues and original music in such notable places as the Democratic National Convention, Knight Theater with the Tosco Music Party, The Blumenthal theater with Jazz Arts Initiative and more.

An award winning songwriter and featured artist with the North Carolina Arts Council, Carrie's musical influences are intertwined in her original works to create a unique, signature sound that's sophisticated yet accessible. Carrie has been nominated twice for the musical score and theme song that she composed for the 11 time award winning feature film, "Changeover". She ended up taking home an award, not for the score, but for Best Supporting Actress at the Love International Film Festival in 2017! In 2014, Carrie was one of ten top finalists in the UK Songwriting Competition and in 2010, Carrie was named the Songwriter of the Year with NC Songwriter's Co-Op.

Emerging Rap artist Casino P has been making his mark on the North Carolina music scene since releasing is first singles in 2021. He's managed by music industry veteran, Jermaine Spencer who has supported Music Everywhere CLT since 2019.

Originally from Montreal, Canada, vocalist Celine Berman stepped out onto the Charlotte, NC music scene with the launch of her band, Jazztrack in August 1996.

Celine studied with Patty Coker, a prominent improvisation educator in Knoxville, TN. As quoted in the media, Celine's jazz repertoire is sprinkled with "scat renditions that come from the soul". Her interpretation of internationally acclaimed jazz favorites attests to her musical versatility.

By including songs in various languages, namely French (her native tongue) and Portuguese, Celine provides her audiences with an unsurpassed world-class feel. Strongly influenced by jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme', her remarkable velvet voice is often reminiscent of the innocence and freshness displayed by such vocalists as Astrud Gilberto or Julie London.

Motown

With one of the All Time Group names, Chairmen Of The Board has pleased music lovers for decades. The groups first hit was the Iconic " Give Me Just a Little More Time" Pay to the Piper" Patches" and the Legendary " Carolina Girl". The group travels internationally to the U.K. where there is a huge fan base. Chairmen Of The Board was Inducted into the NC Music Hall Of Fame in 1999.

Chris Garges is a freelance recording studio engineer and drummer in the Charlotte, North Carolina region. He has worked in a number of studios and has played in various clubs, churches, halls, and theatres in NC and around the US. He prefers to remain as versatile and active as possible in a variety of musical situations as recording engineer, drummer, and/or percussionist. was born in Charlotte, NC, where he learned saxophone and piano at an early age. While in junior-high and high school, he studied classical percussion for six years with timpanist Carol Stumpf, became a Merit Scholar and Principal Percussionist with the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra, played the first notes ever at the premiere performance of the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra (the opening snare drum roll of "The Star-Spangled Banner"), and traveled with Grammy-nominated country artists, The Moody Brothers.

Americana

Chris Williams is a singer/songwriter living in Wilmington, NC.Chris released his first album in 2019 called, "The Farewell Tour." His new album entitled, "To Be Determined" is set to be released in June of 2020. Chris just released a video for "She Is" from "The Farewell Tour" album to great reviews. All songs were recording and engineered in his home studio in Wilmington. Chris sings lead and backup vocals on all songs, and plays guitar, bass, keyboards, piano, banjo, mandolin and some percussion on most songs in both albums.

Copper Fitty (AKA Fitty the KiD) is a Charlotte native. He grew up in Charlotte and began making music at the age of 16. He joined the music club at Hopewell Highschool when he was a senior and began doing shows, working with local producers and taking music even more seriously. His alma mater is UNC Charlotte.

After finishing college, he began to take his music even more serious. He has released his debut mixtape "Always Been" in April 2021 and is currently working on his upcoming album "Forever". He has a new album released in 2021 Damage Done.

Corey Parkman AKA C0REY P was born in Charlotte, NC. He started writing lyrics before adolescence, influenced by his favorite rap artist. He continued to write lyrics throughout his school career until he joined the ARMY. While in the Military, he was stationed in FT. Hood, TX where he started recording singles throughout his late teens and early 20's. After his time in the service, he continue to record singles while he worked dead end jobs. Finally, he found a great job, has stared to work on obtaining his BA in Business Administration Operations Management at Southern New Hampshire University. Today, he is a Plant Manager and resides in North Carolina just outside of Charlotte. He has a wife and 5 step children. He is a hard worker and believes that it will pay off in the end. His Motto is... No Excuses... Just Results!

As far as his music goes, Corey likes to think that he has a unique flow that stands out apart from anyone else in Hip Hop, past or present. He is not afraid of being himself when choosing his beats, concepts or content. His word play is unlike anyone else's in the game (and he stands by that till death) and his punch lines reach the same heights if not beyond some of the GOATS. The talent hie is most proud of is that: he has a knack for making each of his verses rhyme from start to finish with the same beginning rhyme all the way through while still maintaining the overall concept of the song and not using repeat words. Each additional verse will start with rhymes different from the previous verses but will also rhyme all the way through and continue to stay on topic. You can find this skill in the songs "Know How", "Do Thangz" and "Momma Told Me". Lastly, he is not a big fan of repetitive hooks that repeat themselves every one or two bars. Enjoy!

YD's an artist, engineer, and record producer with a sense of musical appeal. He can hear a hit and he makes them too. He knows exactly what he wants out of this industry and presses on to make sure he gets it. He's pretty versatile but his personal style of music he's produced in his recent project is this melodic HARD R&B hip hop sound. Very unapologetic. Courtney J has a cute voice with a nostalgic 90's sound. She loves the 90's and Old School R&B. YD produces her and the combo makes a nice production and songwriting style. Courtney tends to bring nostalgic elements through her song writing and her vocal arrangements whole YD brings her music the modern age with his signature production style and current sound.

The two are an effective proactive team because both compliment the other. They're both very corny in their humor but they're on the same wave so they can never not have a laugh together.

Fusing their deep love for soul, folk, and pop music both old and new, Courtney Lynn & Quinn create a style of sound that's all their own. CLQ began in Charlotte, N.C in 2016 and have continued to make waves in the local and regional music scene. "Curtis Hayes, who is best known as Curt Keyz began his musical journey at the age of three years old. It is in his home church in the small town of Great Falls, South Carolina that he started playing the drums. Receiving inspiration from his Uncle and his Quartet Group, Curt Keyz decided to journey beyond the beat and to seep into the heart of music, in which he first discovered the piano at age sixteen. After arriving at Winthrop University, Curt Keyz began to perfect the clarity of his music; since his inception, he has released three singles in 2017 and 2018, and a Christmas CD an EP in 2015 and his debut album "Love or The Lack Thereof" which went #68 on Amazon Music charts and has been streamed 14k times between Apple Music and Spotify.

Aside from the music, it is more about the experience for him; thus, he often attributes his greatest inspiration to life itself. According to Curt Keyz, what makes life worth living is the idea that each day, we spend and gain something; thus, his role as an artist is to extract the story that lies in between to create an authentic experience."

Cuzco is an Instrumental Math Rock band out of Charlotte, NC, USA. They play at various venues around the Charlotte area, and have a passion for their music that burns through the ceiling.

Cyanca is an R&B singer-songwriter living in Charlotte originally from Smithfield, NC. Cyanca got her musical start in church first playing the drums and keys eventually evolving into a vocalist. Cyanca attended UNCG's music program but decided she wanted to go in a different direction than the program was pushing her. Her journey has been filled with milestones that emerging artists typically have a challenge securing. She has been featured in Teen Vogue, performed at A3C and Facebook among other great feats, more recently she got her first major placements with super producer Hit Boy and the television show "Delilah." Cyanca's upcoming project is slated for September 2021.

Based in Charlotte, N.C., GRAMMY Nominated producer and artist Dae-Lee was introduced to the music industry in high school - in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia - where his style was influenced by music legends Timabaland, Pharrell and Missy Elliott. As a result, Dae-Lee's music is at its core hip-hop merged with various styles of music in a way that is intended to elevate listeners; to show a true picture of our God-intended purpose and value, and to start a dialogue on how to encourage those around us to live as their best, authentic selves. In addition to writing and performing, he has produced 95% of the five projects which he has released. Dae-Lee believes that we are better together and is working to use music and influence to help remove the chasms between people groups rooted in ignorance by being a bridge of patience and love.

Damani Lawes is a Charlotte based singer/ songwriter/ multi instrumentalist from Jamaica. He has always been a lover of music but realized his passion for creating it after he was stuck at home In quarantine for most of 2020. He writes about love and heartbreak and tries to create the songs that he has longed to hear.

Dane Page is a singer-songwriter living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Influenced by the traditions of Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie, his music reflects the complexities of modern life while keeping true to the simple tenets of songwriting. Dane's lyrics weave listeners through Greek mythology, 20th Century literature, and American history while telling stories of love, loss, happiness, and pain. His music pulls from contemporary folk artists like Josh Ritter and Gregory Alan Isakov, but also ventures into sounds reminiscent of The War on Drugs and Tame Impala.

Dane Page continues to tour through the southeast and mid-Atlantic in support of his independently produced EP City to City. A collection of bawdy, rambler tunes perfect for taprooms, bars, and breweries. Selma (Summer 2018) will be his first full-length record. Selma is a more mature album that pushes the boundaries of folk and gives Dane the space to fully develop his sound.

Dane is a storyteller perfect for intimate rooms where audiences can delve into the imagery and lyricism of his songs. The full band-Eric Fellner on bass, Kevin Orlando on guitar, and Josh Kelley on drums-is a dynamic act taking Dane's solo storytelling ability and adding an infectious blend of folk, rock, and blues capable of filling music halls and festival stages. Dapper Street Jazz Orchestra is a Charlotte, NC based, 3 - 12 piece band/orchestra made up of some of the Charlotte region's finest musicians and vocalists. David Taylor is an Americana singer songwriter based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally hailing from Brenham, Texas, his family moved to the Charlotte area when he was thirteen years old. While in high school, he started to play music with friends and had his first taste at playing in a band. It wasn't until after college that he would finally start writing his own songs. After playing frequently at local venues in Charlotte, David went into the studio to record some of his songs at Silkworm Sound in Durham, NC. In July 2018, he released his first six song EP titled Texas Heat out into the world.

Dawn earned her degree in music from Queens University of Charlotte, but still pursues her love for learning, performing and teaching through cultural exchanges and musical collaborations beyond the stage and classroom. Dawn attributes her versatility and skill to sing other genres to her classical training. Doneta Dawson is the founder of Pure Heart Media and Doneta Dawson Ministries (DDM) LLC. She is a Cincinnati, OH native and now resident of Charlotte, NC. Doneta Dawson is a Wife, Mother, Singer/Songwriter, Author, Teacher, Minister and Prophet. She has been given rave reviews for arrangement of music, powerhouse vocals with range, piercing clarity, and writing ability. Known to carry the presence of heaven in her voice she leaves a lasting impression whereever she goes.

Charlotte, NC based self-taught singer/producer Deion Reverie (born Montavis Deion Funderburk) has really began to make a name for himself. Shifting from post-hardcore and indie rock to slow, rhythmic electronic R&B led to Deion being discovered by frequent collaborator RedHookNoodles Beats, a Tampa based hip hop producer. Redhooknoodles discovered Deion in 2015 via Pandora Radio and immediately reached out to Deion on Twitter. Since then, they have made accumulated over 500,000 views on YouTube as a duo leading to a collaboration between Deion Reverie and Connecticut based Rapper, Witt Lowry. Deion appears on the track "Better for Me" on Witt Lowry's chart topping album "I Could Not Plan This." Qushawan Farrar (born June 18, 1989), better known by his stage name Deniro Farrar, is an American rapper from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has collaborated with other artists such as Ryan Hemsworth, Shady Blaze, and Flosstradamus. His voice was described by The Fader as "an eerily calm rasp that never leaves the emotional range of fuming mad".

My name is Patrick "Duke" Hill. I'm 28 yrs old and hail from Marion, North Carolina. I started rappin when I was eight yrs old on a home voice mail machine. Lil Wayne, Cassidy, Eminem and Young Jeezy were huge influences of mine during my teenage years. At this point I've performed over 30 times and released 11 projects (8 mixtapes & 3 albums). I've been featured in the underground hiphop blog, won the coast 2 coast best song of the yr (2015) received placement on several internet radios, nominated for artist of the year at the 2019 Carolina Music Awrds and helped produced 6 music videos. "Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Ellie grew up loving to sing in choir and to listen to her father play guitar. Ellie began performing solos in her elementary school choirs at a young age, and fell in love with learning to play guitar at the age of 10. After taking years of lessons and continuing to sing in choir and school musicals, Ellie decided to combine her two talents into one passion for performing.

In 2017, Ellie has become a singing sensation in the Charlotte area, and continues to perform all over the Carolinas. Her sound is best described as acoustic soulful pop, with influences from artists such as Taylor Swift, Adele, and Colbie Caillat. Ellie is currently working on an album of all original music, to be released later this year in December 2017, with an album release show at the Evening Muse on Saturday, December 30 (see Upcoming Concerts for details)."

Elonzo Wesley began in January 2015, shortly after the breakup of Charlotte NC's Elonzo. After moving from Atlanta in the mid 2000's, singer-songwriter Jeremy Davis (Elonzo Wesley) formed the indie rock band, naming it after his father. The band self-released three full length records and two EP's, touring the Carolina's and Southeast. By December of 2014, after slowly disbanding for some time, another chapter in this story began.With 3 full length albums, hundreds of shows, and a few years under his belt, Jeremy Davis will continue to carry his father's name as a moniker and guide. Elonzo Wesley, at it's best is; the musical truth of the moment, combined with the beauty and sadness of what has passed.Currently, EW is performing as a solo artist and also with a string band.

Emily Sage is a Charlotte-based Indie artist with strong leanings in jazz and soul. Her romantic and lullaby-like songwriting style is largely influenced by her time spent growing up in Portugal. Emily Sage loves collaboration and has been creating new content with different artists in Charlotte. One of her collaborations is an intimate concert series called the CLT Loft Sessions, which she started with her manager and business partner Sara Colée. Currently, she is also in the process of recording a full-length album with producer Dylan Byrnes in Nashville, TN.

"Anyone with ears would agree that the word ""real"" is thrown around in haphazard fashion nowadays; it seems like every rapper with a voice and a microphone is calling himself ""real"", trying to convince you of he's ""real"", begging you to believe that the stories he tells and the life he leads and the words he spits are all ""real"". Many make their case; some do it well. Fewer still, actually succeed. Standouts among these wordsmiths tend to share certain traits and characteristics: sharp wit; colorful wordplay; biting social commentary; sharp criticism of the establishment; and above all, a willingness to be honest and true to themselves, even when the truth is less than flattering. Carolina-based MC Lotta is one of these lauded few lyricists.

The youngest son of a single mother; Fayetteville, NC emcee Lotta was born a statistical anomaly. In a four-person household with a single-parent income, no father from which to learn the responsibilities of manhood, and no room for the costly mistakes that many more well-off youngsters engaged in, Lotta gained a unique perspective: that the weight of each and every person's world lands squarely on his own shoulders, and it is up to us as individuals to raise it high not only for ourselves, but for those we care for the most. Drawing inspiration from the unmitigated dedication and devotion shown to him by his own mother, Lotta forged his own strength of mind into a sharp point, and aimed it squarely at the wrongs he saw in his life and those close to him.

Beginning with crude recordings on a karaoke machine he received as a Christmas gift, then graduating to home studios, Lotta released his first CD project before completing high school. With a well-received product under his belt, he continued to grow as an artist, evolving from early braggadocio of his lyrical prowess to introspective questions and vividly painted audio-images of what he saw as he made his way through life in Fayetteville, NC; Atlanta, GA; and eventually Charlotte, NC. Lotta collaborated with many artists and producers along the way, always seeking to stand out and above any MC's he was categorized with. A style all his own became apparent: speak what you know, and know what you speak. Lotta's personal definition of ""REAL"" began to grip audiences tightly at every performance, and it was not long before a follow-up offering was being hotly anticipated.

With a large library of scattered gems culminating recently in his long-awaited mixtape project '2012', Lotta started quickly moving toward the forefront of Carolina's hottest artists. Spurred by the self-produced thought-provoking single 'Why Play The Game', the CD only further fueled the public desire for the impending release of his next project entitled 'Avatar', the excerpts of which are already illiciting great response at recent performances.

If his current ascension into the limelight is to be taken as any indication of where he's headed, you can expect to see Lotta transcend the regional star-status and break onto the national stage at any moment. Ezra Root has played in the greater Charlotte area for the last 3 years. A labor of love, he has always put music first. He says that "Music has decorated the happiest and darkest times of my life but has been the one thing that i have been constantly in love with every step of the way" Major infuluences include Blues, Sothern rock, Reggae, Soul, and Rap. His music has been influenced by the likes of Sam Cooke to Slightly Stoopid, Tom Petty, George Benson, S.R.V. and anywhere in between.

"Family Video makes dance music for public riots" - Alt77

The Charlotte, NC-based band fuses vintage synths, four-on-the-floor drum machine grooves and fuzzed out, angular guitars to craft indie pop songs that conjure up the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, and LCD Soundsystem. Anchored by frontman Josh Shabtai's manic stage presence and darkly tinged lyrics, the band evokes the decadence and daring of a musical era gone by.

An NYC transplant (formerly of art rockers Controller), Shabtai moved to Charlotte with a batch of songs and a hunger to get them out into the world. He recorded Family Video's debut EP, Future so Dark, with producer Danny Kalb (Ben Harper/Beck/DREAMERS) at White Star Sound outside of Charlottesville, VA. Future so Dark is a three-song collection that introduces listeners to Family Video's unique brand of new wave-meets-pop punk bombast.

Shabtai soon enlisted Josh Durst (lead guitar), Ben Fortenberry (bass), Gabe Avant (drums), Tim McGorry, (synths) and Garrett Ballard (synths/guitar) to transform Family Video from a bedroom project into an in-person spectacle. Audiences can expect a cinematic, high-energy show with equal opportunities to dance and sing along as the band moves through a set of songs from their EP, upcoming album, and the occasional rendition of a new wave classic.

The band's debut album, Shades, also produced by Danny Kalb, will be released in 2022.

Farewell Albatross makes sultry rock n roll with a punk and 90's indie rock influence. Their stripped down sound and hybrid rhythms have inspired comparisons of "if Sleater Kinny and Pat Benatar had a baby with a side of Led Zeppelin love child." Lyrically they push the envelope of vulnerability and honesty, pulling no punches. They hope to create a fun, party atmosphere that celebrates the beautiful flaws of the human condition while offering inspiration for personal awakening and empowerment. Band members include Drea Atkins (lead vocalist/ lyricist and co-songwriter), Richard Jacob (guitarist and co-songwriter), Silas Grisewood (bassist and co-songwriter), and Jill Livick (drums and co-songwriter).

Featherpocket performs an infectious combination of Country, Bluegrass, Folk, and Rock n' Roll. With a focus on musicianship and songwriting, Featherpocket offers something for everyone to enjoy. Lead singer and acoustic guitarist Jason Cline had an elaborate epiphany when he was living in Portland, Oregon. As he walked from to St. John's Bridge from his house, Cline found a number of feathers. Thinking nothing of it, he picked them up and put them in....the front pocket of his shirt. The next night, - still wearing the same shirt with the same feathers from the day before - Cline was attending a Holy Smokes and the God Forsaken Rollers show. Cline's buddy Johnny Holliday was talking outside, "I'm gonna put microphone in my banjo and rap into it. I'm gonna be Banjomouth." Cline looked down at the feathers in his pocket and replied, "yeah, and I'll be Featherpocket."

Featherpocket is a 5-piece band, consisting of Spencer Bloodworth on pedal steel guitar, Clint Lemonds on banjo, Ryan Collins and Cliffton Bundick on the bass, Jason Cline on acoustic guitar, and Jacob Bohan on the drums.

Flatland Tourists - Real, Honest, Red Clay Roots Music. They were raised on it, lived it, believe in it. They all grew up in the rural south and now are based out of Waxhaw, NC. They've played Americana festivals, venues, and performance centers throughout the Southeast. They've played opening support for national Americana act, Shovels and Rope. Their first EP spent almost two months in the Top Ten on the Roots Music Report charts. Their shows are filled with happy, smiling, dancing people. They have red clay roots and it shows in their music. Flatland Tourists started their musical journey together in 2013, and for them, every day and every gig since feels like a vacation.

Gabriel Bello is a jazz artist from Charlotte, NC. He has worked with Christian artists like Ron Kenoly, Gary Oliver, and shared the stage with Tasha Cobbs, and Kierra "Kiki" Sheard to name a few. He's a composer, singer, producer, and a talented jazz saxophonist. His band Natural Wonder (a Stevie Wonder tribute band) has performed all over the country, and was featured on AXS television's The World's Greatest Tribute Bands. He has released three albums, countless collaborations, and his self-titled debut LP reached number one on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Charts.

Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Sound Engineer, Gabriel Jules holds many titles under his belt. The Miami-born artist currently living in Charlotte, NC has worked in different fields of the music industry. As a Student at Berklee School of music, he focused on music production but started his journey as a singer songwriter. In 2017, He released his first EP "First Love" that included "Missing Moments" a song co-written with Kanye West's Long time Collaborator, Malik Yusef. Mentored by Anthony Hamilton's Grammy award winning engineer, Bruce Irvine, Gabriel's skills got him to engineer many famous artists. Most recently, he was one of the sound engineers behind J Cole's Half time NBA All Star Performance.

Her Story, Gabirel Jules newest album is an international love story dedicated to women. "This project depicts the Afrocentric woman who firmly stands with her culture maintaining her roots within a modernized world." With this project, Jules pays homage to his Caribbean roots. This is an album that will keep you on your feet and always moving. "LUV LUV" is the first official single.

Folk

Gabrielle Sophia is a 17 year old folk singer-songwriter, based in Charlotte North Carolina. She plays guitar, and loves to write songs. She is influeced by musicians such as Norah Jones, and Margaret Glaspy. She has played at The Double Door Inn, Midwood Guitar Studio, Festival in the Park, and Summit Coffee. She recently won the Queen City Awards Youth Artist of the year and is working on an EP.

I go by SWATS (Song Writing And Tactical Sounds). Aside from releasing my 2020 solo album, "Reclamation" featuring Charlotte-themed song "QC", I am also co-lead of the Charlotte-based Nerdcore band, GameBreax alongside Omega Sparx. We have been featured on WFAE's Amplifier podcast and mentioned on NPR's All Things Considered.

GameBreax was previously nominated "Best in the Nest" in the Nerdcore Category by the Queen City Nerve who also featured us in their paper.

Amidst all of the chaos, 2020 has been somewhat of a take-off year for Omega Sparx and I. Not only have I built an app (SWATS GO!) for anyone to enjoy my content and keep up-to-date with all things SWATS, but my band GameBreax also released its third album, "GameBreakers Volume 3" on 11/13, which includes several songs that were featured as official marketing content for video game companies and apps.

Geisha, born and raised in Charlotte, NC, is nothing short from a musical genius. With her creativity and resourcefulness Geisha has come to prove how much of a force she will be in the music industry.

You name it and Geisha has done it. She wasn't the most outspoken individual during her younger years, but when she hit a stage, played in her church's marching band, or danced for performances she showed to everyone who watched in amazement that she can say a lot without using words.

College was an interesting and blossoming time for Geisha as she began to pop out her shell. Shyness became a thing of the past when became a "Stud Entertainer" to make extra cash. Dancing was something natural for her but the icing on the cake and what would change her life forever was a Digital Music Composition course taken during her final semester at UNCG. Everything about her being began to make sense and how she can use her gifts to help others through music and possibly shape the world for a better future.

​As of 2021, Geisha has joined with No Genre Music Group management to help build her professional music career in strategic ways. Geisha believes that talent is one thing but the music business is another beast. Although she understands the basics she knew she couldn't walk into any door without knowing how to walk and talk the talk. No Genre was exactly the leg that Geisha needed to rapidly grow her catalog and writing skills within only a year and great direction.

The recent pandemic did not slow down Geisha one bit; She continues to network and practice her craft by writing placement songs that have been placed on various TV and Internet shows such as "Life after Lockup" and more recently "One More Chance" on the Zeus Network. Amongst all these things, Geisha has also recently begun working with producers in the UK and Paris for featured projects set to be released between 2021-2022. Geisha isn't wasting any time with her personal catalog either! Her recent hit release "Hold Me Back", is her first official single and introductory record; at over 10k streams on Spotify and over 5k streams on Audiomack Geisha is not stopping and is pushing this record to everyone with ears. Ghost Trees are Seth Nanaa (drums) and Brent Bagwell (tenor saxophone). Nanaa (ex-Indian Summer) and Bagwell met in NYC in 2000. Along with bassist Jordon Schranz, they formed The Eastern Seaboard. That trio toured the US relentlessly, releasing two records with legendary Italian label Black Saint and a fistful of vinyl and CDs from Tigerasylum Records.

Edward Gianni Smith, (born September 16, 1996) or better known as Gianni, is an emerging entertainer, hip-hop artist and actor originating from Bronx, New York. Smith is a complete artistic threat as his talents vary across the board. At a young age, Gianni Smith spent his time playing the sport of basketball while watching the NBA and recreating moves from Kobe. Moreover, he was captivated by Michael Jackson and Usher, and that is where his passion for dancing and music began. His first paying job in his passion was as a cameo in Prodigy's ABC music video. From music to acting, Gianni is set to leave his footprint in the entertainment industry. Gianni began recording music 2019 and debut his first singles "Nasty Girl" and "Come Through" A jack of all trades, Gianni Smith has an impressive talent that will have people hooked.

Henry Doss & The Turning Point is an all-original rock/pop rock band, hailing from West Jefferson, North Carolina. Their music is a unique mix of guitar-driven original rock tunes and original pop tunes that run a bit on the "hard rock" side.

The band was formed in late 2017 to support the music of singer-songwriter Henry Doss. Henry has had three singles released by his label, Lamon Records, all three of which reached the Top 30 on National Adult Contemporary radio. The most recent release -- "Judgment Seat" -- reached the Top 20. (The song was mixed and mastered at the famed Abbey Road studios.)

Dave Moody, President of Lamon Records, describes Henry's and the band's music as showing "a unique ability to tap into all the best things about a classic, straight ahead, catchy, feel good rock tune." But the songs and the band have more than one dimension and "Judgment Seat" takes Henry's listener in a new direction and a step further. Hey RICHARD is a melodic yet heavy culmination of 4 humans who shred hard while giving back. The band met while volunteering for Girls Rock Charlotte. My name is Frank Caldwell, artist brand is IAMCALDWELL. I mainly write and sing R&B/Soul and alternative/indie music that encourages, uplifts and inspires. My experience with mental health issues for numerous years has naturally translated into being an advocate for that and other communities. The music of IAMCALDWELL shows up wherever there is a need. Be it homelessness, protest issues (the song "Learn"), self esteem (The song "My Story"), experiencing anxiety (The song "I won't PANIC") or social injustices (The song "Love always wins, SMH"). As an artist and brand it is my goal to perform for audiences and have them leave feeling great about themselves and their future. Jettison Five was created out of a 7 piece variety band. Dan Warren (vocals/guitar) and Jason Fava (guitar/vocals) wanted a simpler laid back gig where they could engage with the crowd and just have fun. Since they are a two man acoustic duo they...jettisoned (did without) five of the members so that is how they got their name. Jettison Five performs anything from Dave Matthews, John Mayer to Pearl Jam, STP to Lynrd Skynrd, John Cougar to Garth Brook, Zac Brown Band and even Marvin Gaye, Wild Cherry.

Johnny Conga, a Volcano Percussion endorser, has been performing for 55 years, as a "multi-percussionist-specialist", in the Art of Afro-Cuban/Caribbean drumming and Latin Jazz music. Creator of A Hand to Drum Productions/Online Learning. Johnny comes from the Bronx, New York and moved to Charlotte in 2019. Born of a Cuban father and an Italian mother, he grew up in a household of music and dancing. He first learned to play the bongos at age 6 from a Cuban uncle. In public school he played flute for 3 years, and then the drum came into his life at 14 years of age. By the time he was 16 he was in his first band with Joe Panama, then with vibist Felipe "Phil" Diaz. The rest is musical history. Some of the artists that "JC" have worked with cover the gamut of "styles" in music. Here is a short list: Carlos Santana, Eddie Palmieri, Sergio Mendes & Brasil 77, Paquito D'Riviera, The Jackson 5, Willie Bobo, Mongo Santamaria, Cerrone(France), Gloria Gaynor, Johnny Pacheco, Dave Valentine and over 100 other major artist's in the United States and abroad. Johnny is happy to say that he is in his 70s and he's still performing, teaching, and the proud creator of the first ever "Latin Jazz" and Elder Orchestra of Charlotte!

Jay Hoff is a musician local to Charlotte, NC. He plays a variety of Alternative and Pop cover songs from Foster the People to The Killers to Lady Gaga. He also plays a handful of originals as well. He often plays 2-3 hr solo acoustic gigs, especially now during the pandemic, but also has a dedicated network of fellow musicians that allow him to play duo, trio, and even more depending on what the venue is looking for. He records, produces, mixes, and masters all his own original content out of his recording studio, Blacksheep Recording Studio, located in West Charlotte. He's also worked there to help several other local artists produce original content. He supports local and loves music because he believes it has the power to bring together people from many different walks of life. In a world more divided than ever, due to the pandemic, he thinks live music, when done safely, has the power to reconnect that community.

Justin Elliot is a folk singer-songwriter. He has recently released his first 2 songs as a solo artist. Justin is the former lead singer of the Chicago band, Honeystone, who was a staple of the indie rock scene in Chicago and performed a east coast tours and he is a Sofar Sounds veteran. Justin is relatively new to the Charlotte music scene, but he is loving the folks he's so far.

Justin is also the general manager of the new music rehearsal space in South Charlotte, Jambox. He would like to do all he can to become a part of the Charlotte music community. He is hoping to meet as many people as he can, perform and see performances.

"For over a decade Justin Fedor has been touring with Charlotte, NC's alt-country rockers, The New Familiars. As the band's founding member, he's not only a bandleader, but also a songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist playing mandolin, guitar, and banjo with the group and beyond. To quench his creative thirst, Fedor joined psych-rock outfit, Ancient Cities, in 2013 and is actively touring as their bass player.

In 2013, he also turned his attention to more philanthropic endeavors by creating and curating the Tribute To Benefit Levine Children's Hospital. The a bi-annual concert series held at NoDa's Neighborhood Theatre has raised over $50,000 for the hospital so far. The concerts showcase the areas best talent banded together with themed tributes like Tom Petty, The Doors, Lou Reed and many more.​

Under his own name, Fedor has also been performing with a full band and more stripped down duo shows with his friend; Knoxville, TN fiddler, Francis Bronson. Together they've performed with acts like Tim O'Brien, Billy Joe Shaver, and Josh Ritter. In 2017, the two made their acting debut in the dramatized documentary ""Born In Bristol"", a film that tells the story of the iconic 1927 Bristol recording sessions. The film also features notables like Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crowe, and Steve Earle and received recognition at film festivals such as Cannes and Sundance. Currently, Fedor is performing shows with The New Familiars, Ancient Cities, and solo all while working on albums with each project."

Kera Rhion known musically as JustLoveKera. I was born and raised in Detroit,MI. My parents moved us down to the Carolinas in my early teens. My love for music deepened when I moved to this unfamiliar area. Music helped me cope with a lot of things I would go through. I started recording music in my closet because I couldn't afford studio time. One day I went into this studio and met this engineer/producer who I played my music. I went for rates and didnt go back because I figured I couldn't afford it. months or a year even passed and he walked into my job and remembered me and told me to come into the studio.. that night I recorded my first song with him and we've been working since. I love music, I don't curse in my lyrics but I deliver. I have a story to tell and I'm passionate about my art

The Charlotte band Kairos creates an intense experience for fans by incorporating the concept story into their music, which is a combination of tech heavy riffs and melodic, atmospheric soundscapes. Their debut EP "The Hologram Project" was independently released in 2015, and since then the band has shared the stage with many great acts, including Jason Richardson, Dark Tranquility, Suffocation, Symphony X, Parkway Drive, Revocation, Nonpoint, We Came as Romans, Fit For An Autopsy, Overkill, Wretched, Archspire, Arkaik, Counterparts, and more. Their 2016 EP "Fission Spectrum" is their most intriguing work to date, as it blurs genre lines between progressive metal and its heavier neighbors. Relentless aggression one moment and static tranquility the next work in concert to bring the concept story to life, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats.

My name is Chase Cash, and I am a 21 year old student at UNCC. I am a double major or Environmental Studies and Geography, with a concentration in GIS Science and Technology. Along with classes and studies, I produce hip hop instrumentals and beats. I take influence from Chill Hop, Lo Fi, and Boom Bap styles of hip hop.

I started making beats when I was in high school, and all through high school, I would say this was my learning phase. I took my time learning music production and what it takes to make a solid track, how to produce, mix, master, and release music. Now in college, I am taking my music more seriously by releasing to major streaming platforms, and marketing my own products. I have released an album and a single, with another album set for release in early march.

I look forward to hearing from your team and I plan to learn more about other artists in the CLT area to collaborate and spread the music scene of Charlotte.

Ken has been in the music industry for more than a decade, working his way from Northwest Indiana and the Chicago stages; to the Atlanta music scene in the 90's; and finally around the world touring with the international show band "Exotique." His vocal styles range from smooth jazz to pop to R&B to gospel. Whether performing on large stages, intimate venues or cabaret rooms, Ken has had the opportunity of sharing his musical talents worldwide.

Moving from Gary, Indiana to Atlanta opened many doors for Ken's gifts to first be discovered. After arriving in Atlanta, Ga., he joined a touring show band "Exotique" and began traveling throughout the Southeast working corporate conventions and venues during the week and the Atlanta club scene at night.

Soon after, Exotique took their show-stopping act overseas with Ken as one of two lead singers in the group. The five-piece act traveled to the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and working exclusively in the "Explorers Lounge" for Princess Cruise Lines.

Vocal stylist Kenya Templeton brings to the stage a soul-revealing, conversational and interactive experience slipping

effortlessly among music genres and influences while retaining her own distinct style of body percussion, scatting, and singing. If Ella Fitzgerald, Al Jarreau, Bobby McFerrin, and Rachelle Farrell had a niece, she would probably sing like Kenya Templeton.

Over recent years Kenya has graced small and large stages. Most recently she performed a traditional jazz tribute to Ella Fitzgerald at Middle C Jazz Club, Charlotte, NC, and a Sarah Vaughan tribute as part of the Black American Music Series at the Hayti Cultural Center in Durham, NC. Audience member, Annice, was so moved to remark. "One of my favorite Sarah Vaughan's albums are Sarah Sings Soulfully and when Kenya sang Send in the Clowns, it gave me the chills History: Singing Through Time, at the Long Live Arts Festival at the Levine Center for the Arts and Gantt After Dark at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts and Culture. As the vocalist for Mo' Betta, a modern cabaret of jazz, stand-up comedy and improv poetry, Kenya sang jazz standards to the delight of the Boom Fringe Festival attendees. Creative Loafing raved, "Templeton floated beyond strict 4/4 time, sounding more like Betty Carter in an exemplary rendition of Afro Blue." She has been a regular performer for Dapper Street Productions' Color of Jazz concert series, sponsored by Arts and Science Council's Culture Blocks, including a tribute concert to Al Jarreau.

Just as dynamic as her performances are her workshops. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Arts and Science Council

recognized such by awarding Ms. Templeton a 2021 $5000 Emerging Creator Fellowship, which supports creatives with evolving practices that are at a pivotal moment in launching sustainable careers in the creative sector. With her

fellowship, Kenya will combine her love for cycling with her passion for teaching the arts, history, and natural health

through The Velo Griot. The Velo Griot will be a mobile classroom on a bright orange electric cargo bicycle teaching

children and adults in low-come and communities of color.

Kenya has been an ensemble actor and principal singer with OnQ Performing Arts for the past eight years at Duke

Energy Theatre at Spirit Square in Charlotte, NC. She is most recognized for filling the stage of McGlohon Theatre each December with OnQ's Soulful Noel presenting her jazz, soulful house, classical, and blues renditions of classic Christmas tunes. Kenya was a featured soloist on an abbreviated version of the show on New York Times' Facebook Live for over a quarter-million viewers. Her most notable stage performance is as "Calli of the Valley" in the stage-adapted version of Russell Goin's epic griot poem, The Children of Children Keep Coming, covering field songs and negro spirituals in the voicings of Marian Anderson, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan. "Kenya Templeton was even more impressive in the more central role of Calli of the Valley, and she sang purely and sweetly as Marian Anderson. Most memorable was how Templeton's scat singing Ella-vated the bebop segment and made it a celebratory highlight," according to Classical Voice of North Carolina.

On the recording of OnQ Presents a Soulful Noel, Kenya performs a solo on the title track, lead vocal on an ensemble track, and a downhome blues rendition of Good Morning Blues. World renown DJ and music producer Stan Courtois of Chopsa Records (France) recorded her first songwriting publishing credit, Spicy Disco (Gotta Keep On), which was one of the standout soulful house hits that year and remixed by numerous music producers in Europe and Australia.

She is writing a play, Jazz: A Sound Protest, and an acapella recorded project coming out in 2021.

Kid Cartier is a 20 year artist from Charlotte NC looking to bring a positive light to hip hop.

I have been involved with this group of musicians since they were Pre teenagers. They have been playing rehearsing and writing together for a very long time and given their median age , they present has far more mature. Recording their first album just about one year ago they have accomplished more than many artists do in years. Pangea was released as a single off the album of the same name on February 2nd, the full release on June 2nd. They have recorded two professional music videos working with Mungo Creative Group and Empire Reign Management. Their social media followers went from 800 to over 13000 with organic fans comimg from advertising of the songs and videos. They completed their first national tour in October of 2018. They have prepared their plan, executing their delivery of their music and live show in a way that is both professional and entertaining. Their music has been highly played on spotify, YouTube and other listening platforms.

Kindred Cult is an exciting blend of cultures and backgrounds.

On Late Bloomer's third full length album, Waiting, the band have truly come into their own with an achingly human record that explores the crushing uncertainty of adulthood through a mix of hook-driven guitar rock and punk urgency. The album centers on ever-changing perspectives, with all three members contributing to the writing process to utilize their personal narratives, as well as points-of-view completely outside their own.

While much of Waiting's core revolves around the anxiety and confusion of everyday life, sonically the album finds the Charlotte, NC-based band more confident and focused than ever. According to the Full Cover Story written by Mark Kemp, Senior Editor of Creative Loafing, "Will 2017 be LeAnna Eden's Breakthrough Year?" only time will tell, but it has started on a level matched by no other artist in the Charlotte Market. Whether opening for major bands & musicians such as Emily King, Black Joe Lewis; or headlining Visulite Theatre; or organizing the FIRST Black Alternative Music Festival there has been no stopping LeAnna Eden in 2017.

Hip-Hop

Legend Status is a premiere emcee that you definitely need to know about. The Washington D.C. native who now resides in Charlotte, NC has been tearing up the local scene for years now. His gritty style mixed with his lyrical punch lines make him one of the most talked about lyricist around. As a teenager he watched his brother Leather Face make a name for himself on the DC rap scene. At age 17 Legend Status decided it was time to make a name for himself.

Dropping his first mixtape in 2000 'Ghetto Worldwide' it was then he learned that he had something special. With local hits like the title track 'Ghetto Worldwide' and the ladies anthem 'Love of my Life' made him a household name around the DMV. Few years pass and a couple mixtapes later Legend found himself at a crossroad. With the complications of his son's birth. Legend Status decided to take some time away from music to focus on his son's health.

Sensing that his life felt incomplete, Legend decided to take one more chance at fulfilling his dreams of becoming one of the rap games elite emcees. He dropped a track called 'The comeback' in 2014. At that point Legend Status was back right where he left off. In 2015, he dropped his first full album in over 8 years entitled 'The Re-Introduction'. The response to the album was nothing short of amazing. With the smash hit 'Don't do it em' Legend found himself getting radio spins over seas along with performing at venues all over Charlotte, NC.

Still striving off the success of his 'The Re-Introduction' album 2016 was a even bigger year for the QC emcee. Winning his first showcase at Mynt lounge in Charlotte NC. Legend Status beat out 18 performers to take home the crown. He also won his first Cypher Event for True Dreams Radio becoming the Lions Den Cypher Champion. In June of 2016 he dropped his ep 'Act Like you know me' which landed him a radio interview with Power 104.4 fm in Charlotte, NC.

2017 started off with his most accomplished goal ever. In January he won the Sprite 16 bar championship at UNCC. With the title on the line he had to freestyle the last two rounds to pull out a unanimous decision to win the crown. Now performing at least 2x a week around the Charlotte area. Legend Status has branched out to add Georgia, Maryland and Virginia as places where he graced the stage. In April of 2017 he released his ep ""I AM LEGEND"" which has been his best work to date. The Song 'Love Like This' has been on steady rotation across seas and locally. Adding to his success he was crown the only 2x champion of the Lions Den. He also won the One Mic Mondaycontest sponsored by 92.7 the block.

The Goal now is to make Legend Status a household name. With DJ's playing his song 'Put em Up' in the clubs he is ready to take his talents to the next level. Legend Status is looking to release I AM LEGEND 2 in Dec of 2017 or Early 2018. The sky is the limit for this world renown emcee.

Lil Skritt is an experimental rapper native to Charlotte with influences such as Blowfly and Three 6 Mafia. His live performance has been said to be hilarious and like that of no other. "I love rapping, making people smile, and seeing people's reactions to my lines." He has been rapping since he was 12 years old and has never stopped. In 2017 he won Creative Loafing's Reader's choice for best Rapper in Charlotte. You can see him performing quite often in Plaza Midwood in wig and all.

Lisa De Novo makes her debut with an eclectic acoustic EP -The Stars Align - released October 2016! Her music could be best described as "Bubblegum Blues - an eclectic blend of catchy pop music and soulful blues music." She has done several electronic dance music collaborations with DJ's all over the world. One of her songs called Weekend Produced by SMK has over 100,000 plays on Youtube. Lisa played over 170 acoustic shows this year at venues and breweries all over the Carolinas!

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, rapper Lute (born Luther Nicholson) first burst onto the underground hip-hop scene as a member of the rap collective Forever FC, alongside Jimmy Kelso, High I'm Ry, and SchylerChaise. Lute delivered his first solo mixtape, West 1996, in 2012 while still a member of Forever FC, but took a backseat after the birth of his daughter. With the group and Lute receiving plaudits from the likes of Rick Ross and Pete Rock, it wasn't long before he was snapped up by J. Cole in 2015, signing to his then burgeoning label Dreamville. His first effort for the label dropped at the end of that year on the compilation Revenge of the Dreamers, Vol. 2, with his track "Still Slummin'" a posthumous production by J. Dilla. Two years later, the single "Juggin'" appeared and signaled Lute's return. His proper debut album, West 1996, Vol. 2 followed. ~ Rich Wilson

Macrocosm is a self-produced local artist who owns and operates Soltronik Records, Sol as in sun in Icelandic. I don't have a specific genre to be honest with you, I guess because I like variety. I write and midi everything I create using FL studio and Soundtrap. I've been writing music since the age of 15. My artist name comes from the idea that we are all particles, atoms of this universe and who or whatever created it. I'm a HUGE LGBTQ+ supporter as I myself am an intersexual which is sort of fun to play with musically. My biggest inspirations are definitely Bjork, Janet, Anor Dan, MGMT and Led Zeppelin. Sometimes I throw in a little Michael or Prince funk in there but I try to keep it simple honestly. I am also self-taught which is pretty rad. I tried the whole music theory thing but it doesn't make sense to me as I am one of those people who likes to be a rebel without being a diva of course haha. I want to perform here in Charlotte and maybe even abroad if offered as I am almost in completion phases for my sixth studio album entitled RX, a talk about mental health. My album is a pop and psychedelic funk mixture that is completely accessible to everyone young and old. I strive to be a person who is revered for being real and for being in control of my sonic textures. I am from Iceland myself and grew up listening to folk and 70's acid rock as my grandparents who raised me were wiccan priests. Super odd sounding when reading that aloud. It's time for a local artist to represent the Queen City and I plan to the that example as I will literally go above and beyond to represent our diversity and love for music. Petite powerhouse Maria Howell is a soulful, captivating talent that shines as a vocalist, actress, and voiceover artist. Jason Plus the MLC is a "Big Tent" band. We love bringing people together under the shelter of good music. We play a lot of different music under our tent, playing for Breweries, Galleries, Crafts Markets, The Charlotte City Club, Arts and Science Council Events and Tosco Music. Jason sings lead, Mark plays keys, accordion and resonator guitar, Guillermo Villar plays guitar, Parker Foley plays upright bass with Jennie Brooks on percussion.

Matone is a Charlotte, NC based band that plays a mix of originals & covers. Their style is a fusion of classic rock, funk, jazz, folk, americana, reggae & cultural Jam.

Matthew Ablan is a professional musician and National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in Charlotte, North Carolina. He began studying the guitar at age 12 with Richard Rabitan in his hometown on Long Island, New York. He received his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Stony Brook where he studied guitar with Jerry Willard and holds a Master's degree in guitar performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with both John Holmquist and Grammy award winner Jason Vieaux. Addtionally, Matthew also holds a Master's degree in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University.

A devoted teacher, Mr. Ablan has been a music educator for Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools for 15 years. He is also the former adjunct instructor of classical guitar studies at Allegheny College and has taught guitar at The Fairmount School of Music, The Broadway School of Music and Arts as well as Music & Arts. Matthew is the author/founder of The Guitar Teaching Blog - an award winning monthly blog dedicated to guitar pedagogy and education. Additionally he has been a Guest Lecturer/Clinician at the Guitar Foundation of America Festival & Competition, New Jersey and North Carolina Music Educator State Conferences along with having held clinics for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Music & Arts Stores.

As a performer Mr. Ablan has an eclectic background as he has accompanied Flamenco dancers at the Fairmount Fine Arts Center, been a guitarist for Gabriel's Horns and is the former music director/guitarist for The Lake Norman Big Band as well as being a featured performer on "Charlotte Today". Currently, he performs in and around the Charlotte, NC area as both a soloist and with his groups the Matt & John Acoustic Duo, Longleaf and Ten String Theory.

Matthew is also dedicated to promoting the local music scene of Charlotte, NC and in 2017 launched the Queen City Music Podcast. He hosts this monthly podcast which highlights local musicians, artisans, business owners and all those involved in the ever expanding local Charlotte music scene.

Most recently he has released the EP "You & Me" his first solo recording of original music.

Matt Minchew & the Highbinders are Tim Ferguson, Mike Haywood, Matt Minchew & Jon Norcom. Assembled in 2017, MM&THB have been hard at work on their debut album, "Long Way Home", and are eagerly anticipating the record's Spring, 2018 release. Pulling sounds from across the spectrum of Southern music, "Long Way Home" is sure to be a must listen, particularly for fans of artists such as Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadors, Ryan Adams and the like. Singer-songwriter Matt Phillips has been involved with many musical groups in his life, from the North Carolina Boy's Choir to a high school band to his church band. He started street performing after high school, alone, for some money and found a lot of fans. Phillips' music combines the singer-songwriter genre with pop, funk, blues and jazz.

Matt Stratford got his start playing shows in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C., before moving south in 2008 to become one of the most sought after musicians in the Charlotte-Metro area. With the perfect blend of classically trained vocals and years of experience, Matt is sure to make your event memorable. He excels no matter what the venue, ranging from small intimate settings to entertaining large crowds at festivals and events. His song list is influenced by different genres such as Pop, Soul, Classic Rock, Country and Top 40 tunes, tailored by you, to add a personal touch to your event.

The Menastree is a group of Carolina natives that have come together recently to reinforce the Queen City music scene. Jesse Lamar Williams, Jeremy Maher, Zach Wheeler, Will Pinson and Braxton Bateman are the core of the Menastree, providing a sound that can best be described as "feel good music" with a blend of jazz, hip hop, soul funk and an eclectic blend of every genre combined.

R&B

Mercedes Monique is a new artist who is taking her first steps out into the music scene. She spent years hiding my talent due to struggling with doubt and insecurity. She's spent years traveling the world as a back up dancer for bigger artists, wondering if she should stay in the background, questioning if what she had to say was even worth hearing. This is where my EP Pink Sky was born. She wrote the songs on this project during quarantine for the sake of believing in herself. She hopes it helps you believe in you too.

Folk

Michael Flynn is a singer/songwriter most often found yodeling his way through the hills of Saluda NC. His songs have been featured on shows like Grey's Anatomy and Shameless, and on commercials for useful products like cars and shampoo. He's also won a few awards for songwriting, including 1st runner up for the John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship in 2001. His band Slow Runner has released 5 full length albums, an EP, and several singles. They spent some time on one of SonyBMG's labels and have toured internationally with acts like The Avett Brothers, Josh Ritter, Built to Spill, William Fitzsimmons, and many others.

Michael released his first solo album, 'Face in the Cloud,' in 2014. His new album is called 'Pretend Like' and was inspired by the harrowing twists that come from a life with a young kid, aging parents, and a country that can't fit into its jeans anymore but refuses to admit it. He consistently threatens to someday write a self-help book called 'Stop Trying to Look Like What You Used To Look Like And Just Look Like What You Look Like!' but none of his friends actually think he'll follow through.

Rock

Michael Tracy combines straightforward American Rock and Roll with poignant lyrical themes, reminiscent of Rock Singer/Songwriter idols like Tom Petty, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp, and Bruce Springsteen. He has released four studio albums, and together with his band has shared the stage with Bon Jovi (garnering him a featured article in Billboard Magazine), Poison, George Thorogood, Styx, Foreigner, Don Felder, Jefferson Starship, Dokken, and Zach Myers (Shinedown). Michael Tracy will release his new album Still Got Soul on November 17, 2017, recorded in Los Angeles with producer/co-writer Sahaj Ticotin. Michael's latest effort is his most ambitious yet, representing an artist who has clearly found his voice and a "lane" to call his own.

Daniel Thomas (born August 26th, 1998), known as Midas Black, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, producer and mixing/mastering engineer from the city of Monroe just outside Charlotte, North Carolina. Midas finds solace in creating music. From recording and mixing songs at the age of 13 in his bedroom-fast forward 10 years-to creating full length albums and EP's with other talented musicians in the Charlotte area. The diversity showcasing through his work is somewhere between Alternative R&B, Alternative Hip-Hop and Pop. Recently finishing his album "FREE MIDAS", the 23-year old is ready to bring a new vibe to our playlists.

Americana

After all the doors opened from putting out his first EP "Between A View Of The Moon", from playing many of the stages in the region to opening for touring artist like Donna the Buffalo and Hiss Golden Messenger, Mike Ramsey still didn't feel like he had found his voice as a songwriter. Spending more time listening to the great songwriters and writing without the guitar in his hands, Ramsey wrote a series of "May Morning Poems" focusing on lyrics. Through these poems, he found the start of his next project. Now armed with a new batch of songs, Ramsey hopes to not only "Justify the songs he's sung," but prove he can call himself a songwriter. The new EP "Colorado" was recorded at Old House Studios and mixed by Jamie Mefford (Nathaniel Rateliff/Gregory Allen Isokov). This recording is the result of not only a maturing songwriter but maybe a maturing individual. "These songs found me in the happiest time of my life, but still with the feeling there's more out there, more to accomplish" Ramsey said, "I think that's the perfect place for me as a writer. Hopefully that comes through."

"The Mike Strauss Band has existed in various forms over the years. A work in progress, perhaps? Perhaps.

I guess you could say that everything begins with Mike. As a songwriter, singer and guitarist his songs, singing and guitar playing establish the outlines that the group embellish, color and sometimes re-shape. It could be country, but it's not quite country. It could be blues, but it's not quite blues. Not quite rock, folk or jazz either. Somehow the group manages to live both in and outside of the ""Americana"" umbrella that these styles inform. Rollick n' Roll? Rhythm n' Rues? Perhaps.

At one time consisting of seven (maybe eight?) members spread out on the main stage or crammed in the corner, the current line-up consists of six individuals. Pretty much from the beginning (or at least the recorded history of the group that starts in Charlotte, NC around 2004 with a cd called ""Gone Electric"") Jon Schigoda has been playing the upright bass in the band. Randolph Lewis contributed his unique brand of electric guitar playing (which includes a custom tuning and extensive use of the Bigsby Palm Pedal string bending mechanism) to the second cd (""How in The World"") in 2005 and became a regular performer with the band shorty thereafter. Randolph convinced his former band mate (in the bands Come On Thunderchild and Les Dirt Clods) ,drummer David ""DK"" Kim, to join the group starting with the third cd ""After All"" in 2007. By the time the group recorded it's fourth cd in 2010 (""Ideal Road"") the trombone playing of Molly Jay had become a big factor in the band's sound. During that cd and the one that followed (2011's ""Crooked Heart"") the band also included Beth Brown Al-Rawi on fiddle and Donovan Collins on keyboards. When the group began work on it's most recent recording (""The Whole Skinny"" slated to be released in early 2014) Beth and Donovan had exited the group and trumpeter Matt Postle had joined. The current line-up with Mike, Jon, Randolph, DK, Molly and Matt continues the musical adventure and expects to be an exciting chapter to the already ten year long journey of this group of music makers."

Robert "Milly McJaggurr" Foy was born in Raleigh, NC March 5,1991. He fell in love with music during the mist of snap and crunk music. Then and there he decided that he wanted to be the next voice of the club. With an interesting mix of influences such as 50cent and Jeezy, Milly is striving to show you why he is next to blow. Milly says, "My son is who I do it for". Ready to provide a better life for him and his family, he' taking his passion for poetry and turning it into something that will make u move. Milly promises to become one of those artists you can grow with, understand, and love. While understanding his style of music isn't for everyone, he is sure that you will find something in his lyrics and his life that you can relate to. "Out of sight, out of mind" is the mind set it takes to get to the top!

Nate Randall is a guitarist and vocalist playing mostly acoustic lounge rock. Nate has been in Charlotte since 2011, after moving from Indiana. He started playing his dad's trumpet in middle school, then ventured into percussion. From drums he picked up a guitar and started writing and singing. When Nate first started building his band, he sent out a craigslit add for a drummer and met up with Floyd Hamilton. They we hit it off immediately not unlike meeting Phil Lyew (sax) and Cole Milware (bass) all the same. Nate met Raymond Burkle (backup vocals/videographer) through work as well. The band enjoys the scene here in Charlotte, there are a lot of great musicians and talented artists. They hope to see you out at one of their shows soon!

Nate has been writing, recording, and performing in and around Charlotte NC since 2011. Nate is often playing in , local coffee shops, breweries, wine bars, open mics, Festival in the Park and Tiny Stage Concerts. He is originally from Muncie, IN and started playing music in middle school. He is versed in a wide variety of instruments including trumpet, drums, other percussion, piano, and guitar.

Born and raised in Southern California, and living much of his life in San Diego, all while seeing much of the country in between as an Army brat moving from coast to coast, Nathan is a literal blend of California and Carolina in style and sound. Being exposed to classic songwriters and their music as a kid, fronting bands of a variety of genres, and writing for and playing on records for others, Nathan recently turned to focusing his songwriting voice exclusively for his own music.

Blending his diverse experiences and travels with the distinctive resonance of his baritone voice, creates a musical perspective that can be described as a "hopeful honesty." That perspective was officially put on display in November 2020 as he released a studio album (EP) titled "Ready, Set, Let Go." Nathan has also played shows in and around the Charlotte region for Sofar Charlotte, Tosco Music Party, Charlotte Is Creative, Midwood Entertainment, Charlotte City Partners, and Queen City Nerve.

Since moving to Charlotte in 2007, he has settled into the local Charlotte scene, finding a comfort zone in playing acoustically and performing both solo to full band shows and booking for venues all around the city, as well as playing shows to support local and touring acts. Nathan takes pride in the opportunity to share his music, as well as a love for the music of many decades, while bringing it to audiences with an attention to detail and execution in instrumentation and sound. Nige Hood is a performer-songwriter originally from Charlotte, NC. His self-developed style Folk Rap is an alternative mix of Hip Hop, Blues Rock and Soul Funk. NiGE HOOD brings a three-piece Folk Rap Band for his live shows, culminating in a style that blends more mainstream hip-hop traditions with folk rock and pop sounds. The charismatic frontman belts out smooth melodies "with a flare of funk and eloquent, tightly-spouted verses" (Triad City Beat). NiGE HOOD continues his performing throughout the country and will soon release a follow-up to his latest EP, "This Is Folk Rap"

Jazz

Noel was named Best Jazz Musician by Charlotte Magazine in 2006 and in 2009 and was named "Best Musical Director" by the Metrolina Theatre Association of the Carolinas. A dilettante of pop culture, Noel has become a popular lecturer for theatres and museums, creating and presenting multi-media presentations on everything from Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons to Mel Brooks. In 2011 Freidline was chosen for the Blumenthal Performing Arts Association (Charlotte, NC) Center Stage Award in recognition of his excellence in service to the arts. In May, 2015 Freidline was inducted into the Jacksonville Jazz Hall of Fame.

Jazz

Ocie is an internationally recognized musician, educator, and composer who has performed with some of the most influential figures in jazz including Ellis Marsalis, Terence Blanchard, Christian Scott, Nicolas Payton, and Donald Harrison. Ocie currently is Artistic Director of Jazz Arts Initiative (of Charlotte) which he co-founded in 2009. The nonprofit organization focuses on jazz programming, jazz education and musician support.

Pop

OConn is an American Pop/Rap Music Artist whose unique style and different sound provides a good vibe with catchy lyrics and melodies. He started writing and recording music at the age of 16 in his bedroom where his dream began to take shape. His passion was fueled by his brother Ryan who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 2007. After his brothers passing, he dedicated his pursuit of a music career to him. OConn didn't share his music with the world until after he graduated High School in 2008. Shortly after graduating, he went on to land the opening gig for many national acts including Mario, Snoop Dogg, and Wiz Khalifa. During this timeline he performed at colleges, bars, and local venues. At the age of 20, he was invited to go and live with a DJ in New York to work on a project. This DJ had some previous success and OConn saw this as an opportunity to grow. After only staying for a few weeks, he decided that it wasn't the best place for him. OConn packed his bags and moved back home. After the short stint in NY, he released a mixtape that was featured on Datpiff.com that was well received with a 90% like rating. Throughout the years, he has continued to make music while dealing with many life struggles. His goal is to spread love and positivity to the world and he hopes that he can do that for YOU.

"Dear Friends,

I truly believe that there is a reason behind each of us being put in this world. We are here to find our purpose and to be passionate about something, so we can fully live. My purpose and passion is music, and I have been blessed to know this my whole life. I remember The Beatles, Zac Brown Band, John Mayer, and Coldplay constantly playing in my home when I was young. These artists made an impression on my developing mind. I was inspired to teach myself to play the guitar at age 11 and wrote my first song that same year. Writing has changed the way I view music. There is something about entering the vulnerable state of pouring my feelings into poetry and melody and sharing it with others that has made me deeply appreciate and respect the craft that we artists try so hard to perfect.

After writing songs by myself in my bedroom for years, I decided to branch out in my teens. I became involved in the rock band at my high school and we began to write music together. In 2015, this high school band was nationally recognized by NAMM and earned a visit from the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus where we had the opportunity to record an original song and make a music video. In 2016, I was awarded a scholarship from Tosco Music Party to attend The Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville, NC for my original music. Tosco Music Party soon invited me to be a member of their house choir. I was honored when Singer Songwriter, Ellis Paul, one of my teachers at The Swannanoa Gathering, asked me to open for him at The Evening Muse in Charlotte, NC later that year. This validation created a desire in me to share more of my music with the world. I recorded my first album "I'm a Song" in 2017 which was a learning experience of a lifetime. I am incredibly proud of the record and feel thankful to have created something so special with amazing and talented people who nurtured it well."

Pam is an American modern roots musician born and bred in the South, well versed in the blues. Her debut album Hot Mess hit #1 on the Roots Music Report, #3 on Sirius XM BB Kings Bluesville and #25 on The Living Blues charts, making a name for herself in the blues world. When her band broke up in 2014 she was mentored on guitar by the legendary blues woman, Debbie Davies.

Her latest record ""Steal Your Heart"" was dubbed one of the top 20 albums of 2017 by Blues Rock Review Magazine.

Although she has many awards and nominations under her belt she finds the most rewarding aspect of her career to be the impact her music has on people. After earning the right to sing the blues, by overcoming addiction, depression and physical ailments, she serves up a positive message along with her music; Knowing how it healed her, she plans to carry this message to others in hopes it will heal them too.

Funk

Based out of Charlotte, N.C., Peace and Love is one of the Southeast's premier bands. Known for their versatility, Peace and Love is an Event Planners, Coordinators and Club owner's dream. We do everything-wedding rehearsals and receptions, banquets, bar/bat mitzvahs, clubs/bars. People everywhere know when Peace and Love performs, there's going to be a SERIOUS party! Indie

Formed initially as a side project by frontman Todd Jordan in high school during 2015, Pink Pots expanded to be a full live band at the request of a friend who wanted Todd to play at her New Year's Eve party. After a few member rotations after the following year, the band finally solidified a lineup, featuring original member Phillip Calhoun on guitar, Magda Criswell on bass, and Cole Brooks on drums backing the emotional and introspective songs that Todd creates in his parents' house. Now three years older and fresh out of high school, the now-older but not toned down Pink Pots has made it their goal to be as real, but yet as fun as possible. With the release of their newest album, Adolescence Jacket, the band explores themes of feelings post-high school and being suddenly thrust into the misadventures of being an adult with adult responsibilities and adult interests.

Pluto Gang is a young six-piece band that has successfully manned the middle ground between traditional southern soul, driven by a lead vocalist, and the contemporary jam scene. Their sound fuses funk rhythms, progressive rock leads, and jazz-influenced textures with Brennan Beck's rich vocals. With all members contributing nearly three decades of experience from prior bands, often times collaborating with one another in the past, Pluto Gang took orbit in the summer of 2019 when guitarist Dillon Crawford moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, allowing the band to become a full-time project.

After a successful liftoff period playing local shows and unifying around a new catalog of original music, Pluto Gang made their studio debut in January 2020 with the release of Moggy Oxvine. Following it's quick success, the band had an ambitious touring schedule on the horizon, before COVID-19 forced the group to redirect their trajectory towards the studio. With their debut album on the way, the band revels in the opportunity to share their songs with the galaxy before flexing them in their primary context, live performance. Pluto Gang shows weave seamlessly in and out of songs, include high-energy improvisational movements, and carry with them a fun-loving aura- if anything is guaranteed it is a good time.

Princeton is a pop rap artist from Charlotte. He's been making music for almost since 2012. Some of his recent accomplishments have been performing at SXSW, opening up for Riff Raff, and appearing on the TV show Tengo Talento Mucho Talento. He specializes in pop rap, where he sings on the chorus and rap the verses. His latest release is a homage to Charlotte, titled "Prince in My City" (available on all platforms).

Fresh off of winning a 2018 Carolina Music Award in the Bluegrass/Folk category, Province of Thieves hails from Stallings, NC and is an all-acoustic ensemble featuring guitar, mandolin, ukulele, Irish bouzouki, banjo, upright bass, and percussion. What sets this unique band apart is not so much the eclectic mix of acoustic instrumentation, but rather the powerful vocal harmonies. With a focus on original music, the band's songwriting is influenced by folk rock, Americana, bluegrass, Beach music and 80's pop. The Thieves perform regularly at popular live music gathering spots in the Charlotte region, as well as feature performances at Taste of Charlotte, Symphony in the Park, Tosco Music Party, and Charleston's Cooper River Bridge Run. The band has been performing together since 2012 and has released two albums, Province of Thieves (2014) and Laverna (2016), and is set to release a third full-length studio album, Weight of the Sky, this Fall!

It all started on Christmas day in 1966 when Randy was just six years old. His parents gave him a guitar and he was completely surprised because he did not ask for one. He did not know that this single event would lead him to being in five bands, making six albums, and doing countless shows. Randy is currently working on a new album and already has two songs completed, Anywhere You Go and the other Constellation Prize. He is thinking of naming the album "Restless Guitar Syndrome." Before he releases the full album, he will be releasing single versions along the way, something he has not done before. He expects to release the album sometime in 2017.

A singer/songwriter of lush, haunting music, William Stephen Davis uses dark, catchy melodies and evocative, introspective lyrics as portals to vivid internal landscapes.

Raised in the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina, Rasmus Leon creates songs that unfold in cinematic swells; unsurprising given his long history as a music video, animation and experimental documentary filmmaker.

A self-taught musician and filmmaker, Davis produced + scored numerous projects while teaching at colleges, simultaneously producing a multitude of 4-track songs in private for years, unbeknownst to even those close to him.

Using the framework of folk piano, pop-tinged incantations, confessional lyrics and environmental sounds, the chill-inducing combination swirls with emotional grandiosity, pulling listeners in and burrowing in their psyches long after the final notes.

Partnering with friend + producer Stephen Warwick (Ancient Cities), his debut EP and the Foothills was recorded in Davis' languished childhood home as he finished dismantling 30+ years of memory detritus. The album was further supported by a Knight Foundation grant and musical collaborators including bluegrass fiddlers, classical cellists and jazz trombonists, and mastered by Sarah Register (Big Thief, U.S. Girls, Protomartyr).

REAVES is a new indie band taking on the Charlotte music scene show by show. Band members, Trent Thompson, Krue Stobart, Sam Murphy and Chris Gibson draw from influences like Mutemath, Colony House, and The Black Keys as they combine delayed guitar hooks with hard hitting drums and catchy melodies that are sure to be stuck in your head for days. Chamber Music

The Red Clay Saxophone Quartet was formed in 2003 when the fates conspired to bring four internationally recognized saxophonists (Susan Fancher, Robert Faub, Steven Stusek and Mark Engebretson) together in Greensboro, North Carolina. The RCSQ takes its name from the area's luscious red soil. The Quartet presents a varied repertoire from classical to jazz to new music to tango, featuring music by composers such as Ben Johnston, György Ligeti, Chick Corea, Perry Goldstein, Francis Poulenc, Alejandro Rutty, Ben Boone, Steve Reich, Mark Engebretson, Martin Bresnick, Burton Beerman and Gavin Bryars. Red Clay offers a variety of concert programs, including Sax Appeal, French Connections, Composers of the Carolinas, Never Too Tango and Tikvah.

Rock

Revelry Soul is a 4-piece Soul Rock, Alternative, Blues band from Rock Hill, SC. With Gary Baker Jr. leading the helm on drums, the band instantly grabs audiences' attention with Josh Hamilton's gritty classic-rock vocals. Mitch Kelly matches talent with Hamilton's by providing memorable guitar riffs and melodies for each song. The band comes full circle with Ben Smyth rounding out the bottom end with his incredible talent on Bass Guitar. As a whole, this quartet of musicians bring a powerful and memorable performance everywhere they go. Forming in the year of 2015, the band began playing in front of audiences in a matter of months. Fans of all genres of Rock, Soul, and Blues couldn't help but instantly fall in love with the bands gritty sound after hearing them perform their material. With impactful original songs such as "Workin' Man", "Collide", and "Gypsy Soul", audiences couldn't wait to hear more. After listening to their fans' feedback and requests for more orignial music, the band continued writing, and is currently working on a 7-song EP that will be recorded in historic Muscle Shoals Alabama. The bands first single is slated to release at the end of Spring 2018, followed by the full lenght EP in the Summer. Revelry Soul has recently opened for local headlining musicians such as Michael Tracy, Moses Jones, and Mightier Than Me. Looking to expand their name and brand more, the band is touring throughout the Southeast U.S. throughout 2018.

Richie Rust is a local rap artist who starting his music career in 2013. He has progressed from entertaining at school talent shows to performing at local venues throughout Charlotte. Now, music has become Richie Rust's passion and he looks forward to sharing his talent with many.

Metal

Rites to Sedition is a melodic metal band from Charlotte, NC. Band members include Gabriel Lucia (guitar/vocals), Jon Westmoreland (guitar/vocals), Mitch Moore (drums) and Jesse Lane (bass).

The North Carolina-based band Roman Candles features Daniel Jackson, Matt Stache, Grey Revell, Justin Kent and Rodney Wallin. In 2013, these studio musicians came together in Charlotte with a new mission: to write and perform their own music. They have noted bands such as King Crimson, The Verve and Echo and the Bunnymen as their inspiration, as well as their love of classic American rock.

As the follow up to their 2020 Proximo EP, "The City is Closed" is their debut album. Full of heart and feel-good rock melodies, it explores the pain of toxic relationships, the turmoil of their ends and the eventual joy in learning to appreciate the small beauties of everyday life. Roman Candles recorded the album at Catalyst Recording in Charlotte, NC., with Rob Tavaglione at the helm as Producer. Numerous other musicians can be heard on the album too, including pedal steel local legend Jim Ashton and members of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

Roy Daye, Jr., (RDJ) singer/performer/musician, who started singing publicly at the ripe old age of 5 in church every Sunday evening at his home church in Statesville, NC. The song was always the same, "Number 2, I Know That My Redeemer Lives". He would say that and proceed to lead as his church family readied their books to sing and follow along as if they didn't know what song he was going to sing. Stage fright left this kid at an early age as he continued to perform in school plays, oratorical contest and continued his musical education in the church and school's choir.

Sam Brasko is a local musician based out of Charlotte, NC. Although not being in Charlotte for very long, he has become a regular performer at several open mics around town, primarily playing original songs off of his debut EP, Ghost in the Window that released in November 2021 on all streaming services. He is originally based out of Oneonta, NY where he recently sold out his hometown venue, The B Side Ballroom.

Since about 4 years old, SEVEN ALI has always had a knack for the conception of music, crowd control, and visual innovation. Spending most days throughout Union County, N.C., Seven's most take away memories come from a small town in the county, Wingate, where he'd spend days performing songs of his favorite artists from Tupac, Michael Jackson, Usher, and so on. In years to come, Seven started performing in talent shows, some in North Carolina, some in Atlanta. Through his later years as he started expanding his taste palette for music, he fell into a deep love for hip hop. From freestyling for fun with his older brother and friends, to taking the pen to the pad, to developing a sound for himself, Seven released his first EP - Izanami in September 2016. Only 16 years old at the time, Seven was then known as Indigo Sandifer. After an insane first rollout, life took an immediate turn for Indigo. The very next month he lost his home, for the second time. With life spiraling in many directions Indigo decided to take a slight hiatus until early January 2018, when he released his second project, The Death of Shoganai. The 10 song mixtape ranged in various sounds and emotions the artist bottled up within that time. Following the shift in life came a shift in perspective, inspiration, and identity. Thus, Seven Ali was born. Since then he has released his hottest pieces as such as Enemies, Control, and BULLETPROOF! Currently Seven has been putting together his most profound project yet EVERYTHING WENT BLANK. While he doesn't say much on what to expect, he's let it be known that it will be here sometime 2021.

Shan 'Shableek ' Richardson was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He started his musical career early at the age of 7 playing piano and later began playing the saxophone in school as well as in church.

He has now been playing for over 30 years. And after a decade of performing as the leader of the group he started in 2002, Unkommon Jazz, Shableek recently went solo.

Shealee Cousino is an Americana Singer/Songwriter working on her debut album "Head to the Stone" in the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Album release date Spring 2018.

Country

Sometimes you need a friend to laugh with and sometimes you need a friend to cry with. The two-man band Sinners & Saints, from Charlotte, NC, fits the bill for both. Whether they're crooning about heartbreak or tearing it up with joyful abandon, you'll feel happier for having listened. Perry Fowler and Mark Baran infuse their acoustic, country-tinged tunes with compelling harmonies and foot-powered percussion on repurposed drums from an abandoned kit. Since the band's formation in 2011, Sinners & Saints has been gathering a following of fans who turn to their whiskey drinking, shit kickin', sweet loving music for a good time but find something more - an irrepressible optimism even in dark times. We're all sinners and we're all saints, and we're all in it together.

Skinny Beaver & The Honeysuckle Playboyz is a collaboration of award winning singer/songwriters Gigi Dover, Eric Lovell, Chuck Johnson and Kevin Marshall. The sound is a mix of speakeasy, modern troubadour, and gypsy and world music. James Brock, percussionist and bass player, Chris Revels round out this stellar lineup.

Based out of Charlotte, NC, Gigi Dover and Eric Lovell are a driving force in the music scene. Their band, Gigi Dover & The Big Love has been quite successful in their journey of writing, recording, touring and performing to support their seven albums. Their style spans the musical landscape. Gigi's background as an artist injects a cool vibe throughout the range of her musical talents. Eric Lovell owns and operates The Blu Bubble Studio. His long list of credits including recordings by Kevin Marshall and Chuck Johnson put him among the upper echelon of Charlotte producers and recording artists.

Chuck Johnson & Charlyhorse blazed onto the Charlotte music scene in 2011 with a fury. The Charlyhorse band has amassed an incredible resume in a very short time, recording three records, touring throughout the U.S. and performing on many great stages. Chuck tells amazing stories and carries his audience through tragedies and adventures with his songs. His music connects art with life in a way like no other.

Kevin Marshall has been an integral part of the Charlotte, NC music scene for many years. His rock band, Kevin Marshall & The J-Walkers was formed in 2014. They have been actively touring and performing since the release of their record in October of 2015. Actively supporting the original music scene has been the inspiration and driving force that has kept him in the musical spotlight. A luthier by trade, he also owns and operates Smiling Moon Guitars, LLC., a stringed instrument repair and custom build shop. Skinny Beaver & the Honeysuckle Playboyz has given Kevin an outlet for expressing musical talents and influences that are beyond the scope of his other band.

The new band is looking forward to helping others through supporting great causes by collaborating, recording, touring and performing. With the melting and blending of the different musical styles and approach, there are no boundaries to the soundscape of Skinny Beaver & The Honeysuckle Playboyz.

Snatch the Snail from Charlotte, North Carolina is a multi-instrumentalist and has been expressing his vehement range through a variety of projects. By the age of 17, he experienced what many musicians work a lifetime to achieve; generating enough success to tour with his bands and professionally record multiple EPs. Snatch the Snail's reluctance to adhere to any specific genre has aided the development of a signature Snail Formula for his own signature Snail sound.

Sofie is a 15 year old who loves singing and playing music, especially with a crowd. She plays electric/acoustic guitar, ukulele, and bass. She has sang and played for schools, is a lead singer and guitarist for the band at her local church, and she will sing for just about anyone who's willing to listen! She also experiments playing several different types of genres.

Funk / Hip-Hop

"Before becoming a guitarist whose skills were in demand by Grammy-Winning artists, before his unique production ear was discovered, before his ability to teach complex musical concepts while imparting the historical and cultural impact of that music on his students was realized, and before his songwriting voice began to spread around the world, Stefan Kallander was a boy with a vision that seemed different than the others he was growing up around.

Tagged onto the end of the 1980's, Stefan Kallander was raised between the liberal west coast environment of Seattle, WA and Charlotte, NC in the conservative south. Kallander's musical intuition began to first materialize as a child in the back seat of a purple Dodge Caravan where the deep rhythm and unbounded energy of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin impressed on him what music should feel like. He started playing guitar as soon as he could, imitating the unreal power he felt in the music he was hearing. Stefan thirsted for further musical transcendence and found the surging sound of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. As he dug through their catalog he discovered what specifically spoke to him, it was the Funk. Kallander discovered the Chili Peppers' idolized P-Funk and the door swung wide open. The energy, the flawless songwriting, soaring vocals, and tight, yet screaming guitars left him spellbound and with a realization of what he wanted to do with his life.

Kallander began performing at age 13 which led to the formation of various bands and then regional touring all before age 18. He was a standout young guitarist and upon receiving a scholarship from Berklee College of Music decided he would pursue formal music education. Berklee allowed for endless hours of uninterrupted practice and propelled Kallander into rehearsals and performances with his musical idols and funk legends George Clinton, Bernie Worrell and P-Funk guitar master Mike Hampton during his time in Boston. Kallander was recognized by this Funk royalty as not only a multifaceted guitar player with outstanding rhythm and lead chops but also a musical visionary whose voice should be heard.

Since returning to Charlotte, North Carolina, Kallander has become an integral part of the southern music space, called upon not only for his vivid and distinct guitar playing but also his groomed production ear and individual songwriting voice. He has been entrusted to contribute to various artists in the southeastern scene, most notably performances and recordings with Grammy-winning artists Kendra Foster and Anthony Hamilton. He is a founding member of the Charlotte powerhouse soul group The Queen's Guard feat. Blanche J and performs in the band of Prince's last saxophone player and protégé - Adrian Crutchfield. He has been able to play regularly at church after coming off consistent touring which led him back to a love of God he had never imagined, while at the same time he has become a go-to force of funk in the emerging Charlotte Rennaisance. All eyes should be on the south as there is some of the most intriguing music of our time coming forth from it. Stefan Kallander humbly lends his sound to that emergence."

StellaRising, a female fronted band formed in Charlotte, NC brings captivating sounds and authentic mixture of radio-friendly original rock/pop songs and energetic covers fused with rock, pop, funk, blues, reggae, and ska. "Temperance League is a 6 piece rock and roll band. Band members include Shawn Lynch, Eric Scott, Bruce Hazel, Chad Wilson, David Kim and Jay Garrigan."

Ryan Wentz, a Charlotte native and Tennis Elbow bandleader, initially played all the instruments (apart from Rhiannon Dewey's saxophone), but recruited Pinky Verde's Heather Jensen on drums & backing vocals and Team Player's Chandler Hicks on bass in 2018. Upon winning the UNCW Battle of the Bands and performing on the main stage of the Azalea Festival in 2019, the band went on a brief hiatus when Ryan and Heather moved to NYC to pursue music.

2020's politically-charged "The Drop EP", "The Fall EP", & "Dropping a Han Dynasty Urn" are the result of Ryan being forced to flee NYC because of the pandemic and move back to Charlotte, NC. The entire album was recorded in quarantine from March-May 2020 and all the features were texted or emailed. The album's name was inspired by Ai Weiwei's 1995 triptych in which he is photographed destroying a 2000-year old artifact.

The Bill Miller Band, 2012, 2015 and 2016 Quarter finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN and 2013 Charlotte Music Awards Blues Band of the Year is sure to get you moving to their high-powered, contemporary interpretation of vintage blues. Father and Son share vocals with Bill III on guitar and Bill jr. on harmonica.Mike Peters handles the keys. Randall Cowles holds down the bottom while Tim Martin provides the beat. They've been exciting southeastern U. S. audiences with their high energy shows since 2006. The recipe for their Blues is to mix Chicago with a bit of Texas and some Southern Rock, and add a whole lot of their own passion and drive.

The Bechtler Ensemble gives concerts in intimate settings as well as in museums and educational institutions. During many of these concerts, which are usually about one hour in length, slides of the art from the Bechtler collection as well as images from the art in its original setting in the Zürich home, are shown. Musical compositions are chosen from the same time period as the art and, before each piece, a brief explanation is given as to why the composer and artist were paired. This multi-disciplinary approach seems to greatly enhance the experience of the audience. The concerts are described as: "exciting," "de-stressing," "fun and 'informative " to name a few.

Rock

The Boron Heist is a 4-piece rock and roll band. Band members include Cody Ward (guitar), Owen Sykes (vocals), Tyler Adams (drums) and Mark Ervin (bass).

Pop

The Catalinas began in 1957 and celebrates their 60 Anniversary in 2017! The bands popularity is based primarily in southeastern US, however, The Catalinas music is played on radio stations in the UK, Greece and Australia to name a few. Known for their quality, tight sound and energy onstage, they are one of the "in demand" groups for city festivals and private parties, always playing a variety of music that suits all ages. Though known for Beach Music, regionally and nationally for the mega hit "Summertime's Callin' Me", they play all styles to a high standard of excellence. "Summertime's Callin' Me" has become the anthem of North and South Carolina beach goers as they struggle through the winter waiting on summer to arrive.

R&B

With one of Soul Music's all-time great group names, the Chairmen of the Board has pleased music lovers for over 30 years. Formed in Detroit , the Chairmen were one of the first acts signed by songwriting legends Holland/Dozier/Holland for their Invictus label following H/D/H's messy divorce from Motown. The group came out of the box strong in 1970 with the wonderful "Give Me Just A Little More Time," a classic early 70's radio smash highlighted by lead singer General Johnson's emotive, plaintive vocals. "Give Me" was the foundation of the group's excellent debut album, which also featured the infectious "(You've Got Me) Dangling on a String,".

"The Eyebrows are a rock band from Charlotte, NC, whose quirky lyrics - coupled with manic-fuzz guitar, beer-soaked bass and a retro backbeat - have brought comparisons to the Talking Heads and Pixies with a touch of The Stranglers and Modern Lovers.Their name comes from a Frank Zappa quote: "The computer can't tell you the emotional story. It can give you the exact mathematical design, but what's missing is the eyebrows." Lead Eyebrow Jay Garrigan also has a set of pointy blonde, highly mobile eyebrows which have been the subject of some childhood ridicule. As an adult, Jay feels that "eyebrows, much like music, help us express things when we are at a loss for words... and these unsaid things can be both beautifully sculpted or tragically abused."

No strangers to the scene, The Eyebrows tracked and mixed their debut album, VOLUME, with legendary REM producer Mitch Easter at his Fidelitorium sound studio. Ten tracks have been mastered by Greg Calbi out of Sterling Sound in NYC, and the band plans to release the album themselves in August 2018 on vinyl, CD and digital formats."

The Hawthornes are a quartet based in Charlotte, NC. The Relics have been performing for over 20 years. Each band member has a very unique and diverse background, which gives them the ability to perform top 40, rock-n-roll, blues, jazz, modern standards, and ethnic music. Each Relics band member also contributes vocally in order to deliver the unique five part harmony on many songs and set the Relics apart from other local groups. Another unique feature of the Relics is their ability to alter their instrumentation and lineup by having either two guitarists or by switching to two keyboardists, depending on the style of song and arrangement. This not only gives the Relics the flexibility to perform a wider variety of music than many bands, but also enables them to create a much richer sound by using strings and horns, utilizing synthesizer technologies giving them a sound that rivals larger eight or ten piece bands. This is just one of the many factors that help make the Relics one of the most popular bands in the Chicago land area. The Shana Blake Band is an innovative new take on the old soul cover band. The ensemble hails from Charlotte, North Carolina and features singer/songwriter Shana Blake, veteran guitarist Keith Shamel , bassist Dave Eatman and drummer/percussionist Scott Newell. The expressive vocals and rich textures of the instrumentation fuse coherently to create a sound that's as smooth as honey, with a hint of R&B, funk, reggae, southern rock, gospel, country, jazz and the blues.

The Spongetones, formed in 1979, are an American power pop band from Charlotte, North Carolina. They formed from a desire to play Beatles and other 60's music they grew up with.

Very much influenced by the British Invasion, the Spongetones carried on the musical genre through acclaimed original songwriting, jangle pop riffs, and lilting vocals of Beatlesque quality. In his 2007 book, Shake Some Action, John M. Borack rated the Beat and Torn album (a re-release of Beat Music with Torn Apart on DVD) at number 25 of his Top 200 Power Pop Albums of all time, comparing the album to early Beatles and Searchers, calling the album ""simply wonderful."" Rolling Stone gave Beat Music a 3-1/2 star review and Torn Apart a 3-star review.

The Turnstiles have honed their rootsy blend of rock and country by recording and playing live shows in Charlotte and across North Carolina. With original songs running the gamut from driving rockers to aching ballads, the common threads are engaging melodies, strong lyrics, and spot-on harmonies. In addition to rollicking versions of their original songs, The Turnstiles feature an ever-changing selection of covers including Neil Young, The Replacements, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and The Band.

Tube-fed, acoustic driven, original rock and roll; with just enough kick-ass to even out the thoughtful and sensitive lyrics. I have been in the music business since I was 16 (approx. 40 years) . I owned/managed several bands, and performed with them professionally for around 25 years. My wife and I moved to Waxhaw from Nashville, TN. I recorded 2 albums there (musicians on them include Reese Wynans - keyboards for Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Cease - previously with the Black Crows and now with Eric Church), did numerous writers nights, played numerous venues in that area, worked as a buyer for Gibson Guitar Company and hosted their customer/client appreciation events, worked for booking agency, "Red Ridge Entertainment" - booking acts in venues and casinos, played with various acts as a side musician/vocalist. The soundtrack of his life began when Ronnie Van Zant said, "Turn it up!" Lynyrd Skynyrd's southern rock and Eric Clapton's guitar-driven blues laid the foundation for Trip's signature guitar style. Rock and blues favorites, along with the story-laden songs of Scotland, Ireland, and Appalachia, are brought to life by Trip's dynamic stage presence.

From supporting international artists to engaging school children, Trip is at home on any stage. Over the years, he has shared the stage with artists such as Leon Russell, Molly Hatchett, Billy Joe Shaver, Hal Ketchum, and Fred Eaglesmith, and has performed in concert halls and at fairs and festivals all along the east coast.

Jazz

A versatile musician, Troy has been playing professionally for thirteen years. He holds the B.M. from UNCC and has studied at Berklee College of Music. An active performer with numerous small groups at various venues and festivals, Troy has also performed with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in their Pops Concerts and in their rendition of the opera, The Barber of Seville. Troy's musical styles include jazz, classical, acoustic, rock, Celtic, folk, and blues. Troy teaches in the Extended Day Program Providence Day School and part-time at Pfeiffer University.

My name is TuKool Tiff! I am a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer residing right here in the Queen City! I've been in music since I was about 5 years old playing drums in church! Studied music in college and have been performing professionally for about 13 years! In the past 12 months I've released 3 projects all of which are written, performed, engineered and produce by yours truly! All of those projects are geared towards uplifting humanity, highlighting the struggles we face, and telling the story of the times we live in. My music is also clean. I believe it's important to convey a clean message so everyone can receive it!

MILLENNIAL is a group of guys who, true to their Generation Y character, have begun to forge their path with confident, self-expressive, liberal, upbeat music that is created with the notion to "make a change." A diverse generation of singer/songwriters and musicians reigning from Charlotte, NC, Rodney Eldridge (lead vocals), Logan Fincher (lead guitarist) and Jon Hussey (drums) formed a mutual bond derived from their passion for creative musical expression. That passion led them to take the leap to pursue their dream and served as the inspiration behind the trio's newest project entitled DREAMERS.

Rock

Grove driven rock 'n' roll. We're a group of friends waving the flag of 70s psychedelic glam/hard rock with a modern grunge twist. Our debut EP scheduled for release soon is being produced by Charlotte native and a member of Grand Funk Railroad- Tim Cashion.

Vadim Kolpakov is one of the most prominent and renowned Russian Roma (Gypsy) 7-string guitarists in the world. He was a lead musician of the Moscow Roma (Gypsy) Theatre, Romen, where he performed as a guitarist, composer, vocalist, dancer and dramatic actor. To this day, his original guitar compositions are performed in many prominent plays at the theatre as part of the vibrant oral tradition of the Russian Roma culture. Vadim has also performed and recorded Romani activist songs with Eugene Hutz (the lead singer of Gogol Bordello), which he hopes will promote understanding of the Roma nationality and human rights.

Vadim works exclusively in the oral tradition and has been teaching traditional Roma guitar, dance and vocal repertoire.

Vadim has been based in Charlotte since 2006. For two semesters in 2006 and in 2007 he was an Artist-In-Residence at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.

Vices & Vessels is a 5-piece metalcore band hailing from Charlotte, NC. Band members include Travis Skywalker (guitar), Dylan Pond (guitar), Dalton Hartgrove (vocals), Jeremy Hambrick (drums) and Colin Shore (bass).

We play family friendly danceable classic country, rockabilly and western swing. What people really enjoy aside from our vocal harmonies is the sound of the steel guitar. We have a full band with 5 members and include rhythm guitar, stand up bass guitar, drums, steel guitar, dobro guitar, and banjo in our sound.

Although we focus on vintage songs, we do mix in contemporary country songs and originals. Audiences can't help but get engaged in our music. We make it fun!

Rock

In the Summer of 2015, the brothers Smallwood and the brothers Bowman joined forces to become Warboys U.S.! With the aid of years of previous experience in various local, national, and international acts, they self-produced their first full-length album Hot Brass, and took it to the stage in early 2016. A short time later in July 2017 the band followed up with another self-produced release, the EP Man Alive!, and later Kugelhagel, the German language single version of the song Hot Brass.

Warboys U.S.' music draws on a wide range of influences, utilizing sounds from classic rock'n'roll and punk rock, with occasional nods to classic country/western music. I could now go on about how great their music is, but you should just hear it and experience it for yourself!

Watchtower is a Dave Matthews Tribute Band based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The only one of its kind in North Carolina, the band consists of professional musicians from various cover bands around the triad and they will not disappoint in their recreation of the Dave Matthews Band catalog. Led by singer/guitarist Joshua Moyer, a solo acoustic performer who plays a great majority of venues around the Piedmont Triad, the band is rounded out by other virtuosic multi-instrumentalists. They not only will bring you the songs you've grown to love but also the improvisations and jams you've grown to expect out of the live Dave Matthews experience!! "Like most kids in his native town of Charlotte, North Carolina, Leroy Shingu, had a head filled with Hip-hop dreams growing up, even trying his hand at freestyling when he was all of nine years old.

But a storied background starkly different to the blissful suburban reality of his peers would compel the rapper better known as Well$ to turn that childhood fantasy into his newly launched career as a rapper.

Quietly released in 2012, $ay La V, Well$; debut EP rose steadily on the Bandcamp charts to peak at number 5 and eventually become the most downloaded album in the Charlotte Area. That remarkable ascent as well as the video for the song State of Ecstasy The Interlude Part 1 hauled Well$ out of virtual anonymity, and shoved him onto high profile stage performances with artists such as G Eazy, Chris Webby, Johnny Polygon, and one of his idols Pac Div.

Proud To Be An American, one of Well$; standout tracks off $ay La V, is the assured declaration of a young man who has come to terms with his identity and adopted home, flaws and all. Yet it wasn't always this way. Born in the US to Congolese illegal immigrants, Well$ has encountered the ins and outs of America's legal system for as long as he can remember. What started as a routine police search ended up with his mother serving a six-month jail stint when it emerged that she was in the country undocumented. Left mostly in the care of a grandmother who barely speaks English, Well$; teenage life slowly spiraled downwards into delinquency. Dabbling in car theft, drug dealing and eventually dropping out of high school caused his concerned mother to ship him off to New Orleans to stay with his cousin Alec Lomami in the hope that he could steer him back on to the straight and narrow.

Lomami (nowadays producer and Immaculate Records label owner) averted Well$; focus to music as a means to channel his feelings of angst and isolation. In 2010 the two of them began work in earnest on Well$; debut, marking the turning point for him.

As always, on his forth-coming album Well$; music deftly walks the tricky balance between niche underground and commercial mainstream drawing on styles that range from breast-beating braggadocio through to quiet, moody introspection. "My music is like me, sometimes it's serious, sometimes it's playful, sometimes it's happy, sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's meaningful and sometimes it's meaningless," Well$ describes his swinging pendulum of musical expressions, always true to his realest self.

Fatherhood is one of many subjects that Well$ touches on. The lead single Black Swan explores the life choices of a young woman affected by an absent father. Elsewhere, on Major Pain Well$ walks in the shoes if his own imperfect dad.

In Dreams of an Insomniac, Well$ stands on the edge of a cliff and meticulously lays out fears of flying - those pesky "what if" questions that keep him up at night."

Pop

It's no secret that William Nesmith's got a passion for crafting pop hits. From inspiring ballads to bubbly bops, he uses his impressive vocal range and unique registers to paint a spectrum of emotions.

William is a Carolina native, MBA grad and classically trained pianist. His music comes from a real place, full of true experiences and raw feelings. He seems to evoke an enduring optimism-even in his darkest songs while taking listeners on a ride they'll never want to get off.

Pop

30 Year Sick is breaking down the stereotype of female-fronted bands. Their songs blur the lines between genres and shatter preconceived ideas of electronic music.

Will C. Wilder is the main songwriter and the core of the band, and he is able to play any instrument needed including, but not limited to, guitar, synths and drums. Akmeraj Niroc writes the lyrics and vocal melodies. The songs are filled out with basslines by Jim Goodman and synths by Sarah Hudson. Will, Niroc and Jim started playing together in 2003, and have played multiple national tours in the US supporting acts such as My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Hanzel Und Gretyl, and Pigface.

Young FLaMEz is an songwriter, record producer, and rapper who is popularly known in the music world as FLaMEz (a Pseudonym he derived that stands for "For the Love and the Music Everyday" ) The world of hip hop and rap music has a very much established stereotype. And most of the rappers who make it to the limelight usually have a lot of similarities in their stories and FLaMEz is no different. Especially popular with the younger fan base, FLaMEz has a checkered past having grown up on the southside of Charlotte. Despite the circumstances, he has and is succeeding in using his own narrative to create a picture of success that his fans and other rap heads can be inspired by. He is most known for his 2018 mixtape "Peep The Change 2", and his singles "Get Away" featuring Uptown South Artist "Benjamin Gainz" and "Kerosene" which features "Juriah Mon'e" !!!

Your Neighborhood Orchestra is a graffiti-style street orchestra for the people by the people. Formed to bridge, innovate, build, provide access, and break barriers across the vibrant landscape of original artistry in music. YNO combines high-level professional musicians from the different genres that make up the Charlotte music scene. From the 4-piece chamber size all the way up to the full 30-piece orchestra, they are constantly charting new territories and pushing the boundaries, bravely taking on new challenges and sharing their original creations to both common places and places previously not served.

Jazz

There is a special class of musician, the kind that other musicians listen to and are inspired by. That's Ziad Rabie. The saxophonist, writer, and composer has a long list of collaborations with some of the most notable names in music. Since 2010, Rabie has played the first Friday of every month at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art with his quartet that includes Noel Freidline (or Chad Lawson) on piano, Rick Dior and/or Al Sergel on drums, and Ron Brendle on acoustic bass. The collaboration with the Bechtler, called "Jazz at the Bechtler," is intended to regularly showcase jazz music in a space where it can be truly respected and appreciated by an audience for the artistry that it is.
